Serves Arsenal right to be honest. They've failed to win anything in six years, never strengthen in much needed areas and over spend on youth potential.

Its a blow for Arsenal, too bad.He was their best player when not injured, but they got used to playing without him.Quality player indeed, couldve contributed more for them, but things stand as they are.Champion time coming for Cesc.

100% agree with this. I hate how the how saga went down for 3 years, and what's even worse is that after the 3 years I wish we didn't get him at all cause we need a CB more than anything. That said, our lack of depth was terrible in todays match so in that sense I am happy

The saga only went for so long because Barcelona were being stingy about his price. They could have easily had him earlier if they offered the 40m or so.

I hate how we got raped on the price, too. In todays inflated market he could have easily gone for 60m.

I don't see why Barca still cannot get a CB though. Mertsacker is going cheap and there's plenty of other defensive talents available that the club can get hold of.

Barca do need a another CB and today showed that, but with Fabregas now at the club Barca have possibly the strongest midfield around.

Arsenal were lucky to get him at all.

They got a player for free and sold him for ~£35m. Good business for them.
