Re: Rival thread
Arsenal fans are in the same bracket as Spurs fans to me right now.
Sick of this pathetic excuse for a club. If Liverpool doesn't win the league, I hope the "oil" team do in City. I hate Chelsea more than I hate Arsenal so I definitely don't want to see them win it even if it's inevitable with Mourinho as their coach...
Hopefully City step up, I'd like to see how Manchester United would react. City are clearly going to title challengers as long as the Sheikh is there, and Manchester United have Moyes as their manager.

Re: Rival thread
actually wanted to post it in GS but Arsenal fans are already on high temper and for no reason taking a dig at at us/club everytime so do not want to create more of annoyance thereWenger’s sole relation to history on nights like Tuesday is that it keeps repeating itself.
In a 30-year managerial career, he’s won domestic titles and cups in France and England, but, despite reaching 3 finals, he has yet to lift a European trophy.
He’s been with the Gunners for 18 years, spent 16 of them in the Champions League, made it out of his group every year for the past 14, yet vanished in the first knock-out stages for the past 4 seasons and reached only 1 final, which he lost.
As he did the 2000 UEFA Cup Final. And the 1992 Cup Winners’ Cup Final with Monaco.
For the most continental of managers, a deep-thinking tactician, a modernist, an urbane man, who has coached some of the most skilful players in the world, who has been given stability and money at a club the size of Arsenal, his failure to conquer Europe is a mystery that deepens by the year.
In his early Highbury days, he was quoted as saying: “If I never win the Champions League with Arsenal, my coaching career has been a failure.”

Re: Rival thread
I noticed we are becoming un-likeable by fans of other teams.
You know when that happens? When your team is f*cking good, and poses a threat to them.

Re: Rival thread
We've actually received a lot of hate during the years lol. The only difference is we're actually good again and have the right to fight/talk back and they have nothing to say other than "Liverpool fans are arrogant blah blah". *bleep* em.
Can't wait for us to be in the CL and show the rest of the pathetic teams in England (yet proclaim to be the best teams in thr world) how to actually progress pass the quarters ffs.
No team in England after Liverpool is in my good books anymore.

How I feel about Spurs chances in regards to beating Arsenal.
All I can hope is that Adebayor shows up against his former team and singlehandedly wins it, otherwise...

Re: Rival thread
One can hope they actually do finish above them.
The only problem is that you'll get idiots backing AVBs sacking which would just be wrong. Same sort of people that think it was right for Liverpool to sack Benitez and that Rafa is an average manager.

Gotta say I kinda like it that other fans are taking a dislike to us (although definetily not all of them, it's just the ones who shout the loudest that get stuck in your mind).
However, should we stumble now, the fall will hurt more x)

as soon as I saw Chelsea result just now, I am even more nervous for tomo's game...not quite used to the thing that we capitalise on loss of points by other teams

Re: Rival thread
Not disappointed with Arsenal win today, I think they will surely drop points against other top teams. So it was always good that Spurs are now 9 points behind us with we having a game in hand. Actually draw would have been best.We desperately need a draw from Chelsea- Arsenal game. So in case we drop points on the road, we will still have some breathing space.
From the month of April, Arsenal has such a easy run of fixtures, that they can go on to win all, only the game against Everton seem to be difficult to get all the three points. I am sure Everton will be looking to finish above Spurs and ManUtd, so I hope they will get some points from ManCity and Arsenal fixture.

Re: Rival thread
Well for me top 4 was sealed a long time ago but it's nice to get a some sort of a mathematical confirmation as well. Not too disappointed that Arsenal won, but obviously draw was always the best result which unfortunately didn't happen.
Now next matchday hoping to everything for a draw between Arsenal and Chelsea. And if that doesn't happen then Arsenal win. Chelsea need to be flushed down the toilet.
