I think there was a time when manyu, chelsi, liverpool and arsenal were the only ones out there. Others were near but always midtable teams. Now I guess we have become direct competitors for that fourth spot. But Arsenal think that we are midtable team now and we can feed them, hence this Suarez saga.
But this window was the best chance for them to surge upward and fight shoulder to shoulder with mancities, chealsis, yuniteds. If they fail to surge upward in this or the other window, I can see us or spurs making their life difficult.

winning mentality is key word,

Bill Shankly,Bob Paisley,Joe Fagan, 1st time Kenny Dalglish & li bit the 2nd time, Gerard Houllier,Rafa Benítez were with born winning mentality & bought this mentality to this club

David Moyes won 0 Honours not a big winning mentality there, then the fact David Moyes has been very poor in European football, Alex Ferguson has been work top players for over 20 old years, Moyes has not work with best players

now Moyes has step up big time, i don't he can but Alex Ferguson still be there help him,

also the fact that are world class midfield & Chelsea, United have had a easy ride for past 4 years as rest the teams out side top 4 has been very poor, now clubs Southampton,Norwich City,Tottenham,City have step up a level it not going to be a easy ride anymore for United

Liverpool can compete with like of City & Chelsea ( not money wise) but for the Premier League, it get right player for right price, it about get talented players with high ceiling to go become good players - like 5m Lucas Leiva,Philippe Coutinho 8m, Daniel Sturridge 12m

there is load young talented players for a good price, it just been better at find this type of players

as for Arsenal they can compete with like of City & Chelsea money wise & for the Premier League but some how Arsène Wenger gone from a football god to the village idiot

Gerard Deulofeu is the definition of average, We have absolutely nothing to worry about Everton this season, They'll be in the top half but no difference, They'll play the same 4-4-2 unless they sell Fellaini. Same tactics, Hoof it to Fellaini and Anichebe.

Nacer Chadli is way better than Aaron Lennon, as for been their Assaidi no way Chadli is a top talent, a lot Premier League clubs going be like why did not sign him

this set up is easy top 3 Premier League team all need to do is buy some 1 or 2 top defenders they can easy push on for the Premier League

Gerard Deulofeu is not average. He won't carry Everton to a spot above us as he is young. But he's definitely talented.

He wont fit at Everton, He doesn't have the pace or decision making to well in the PL in his first competitive season. His game isnt tuned up for English games.

He'll do fine Nishank.

Just like how Suso and Sterling managed to do fine for us. He's definitely not average for someone of his age.

I saw him over the preseason, Doesnt look like anything other an a step up from Marc Albrighton to me in Everton's system. They no space for skill, Slow wingers dont work in the PL.

Hardly anyone plays with wingers in the PL.

They're all 'inside forward' types where they all look to cut in.

He did at Barca. lol

You can't exactly judge a team or a players performance on their pre-season.

Or we're well ahead of United, don't really have defensive issues and Ibe is the best young winger in the world...

er does Marc Albrighton play for Aston Villa ?

Downing look like a top player having Albrighton on the other wing who is very good at cross

david beckham, it not all but pace, it mix of players quick in there head as well be  physical fast

We shall.

Definitely not average, though.

I agree Everton's not a threat with that said.

I'm not a fan of Martinez, I personally think he's average.

Everton also have an ageing squad, and have played a consistent style since Moyes' has been there. Don't think they're technical enough to adapt to them, nor do I think he's good enough to get them playing at a level challenging for a European spot.

don't  also see Everton as a threat, i think why so hype up about Everton was the fact that team out side top 5 have been very poor for 4 years or so

they have few good young players in Joel Robles,John Stones,Ross Barkley & few top class players  Mirallas,Jagielka , Baines, Fellaini

if any club get take over & use a play thing then i got say  Everton could be bought

No doubt they played good but that penalty was a luck, which people will say that earned. Btw, commentator said that last season they didnt win a single penalty. I hope we get that luck this season.

Spurs wanted Willian before us, we just put a bid in first.

Won't be the end of the world if they sign him. :coffee:

Chelsea vs Aston Villa on Wednesday, Will give a decent picture whether the last game against Arsenal was a fluke or not.
