Juventus are not a step forward for me - Hamburg's Eljero Elia

The Netherlands international only wants to leave his current club
for a team of a higher level and doesn't consider the Turin side to be a
move in the right direction

"The club told me that they won't let me join
Juventus, but that's not a problem for me. I've agreed with the club
that we'd open talks if a big club like Arsenal or Chelsea comes
knocking," Elia was quoted as saying by Hamburger Morgenpost.

"There's
no need to talk if a club of the same level as HSV is interested.
Juventus are still one of the best Italian teams around, but they're not
better than Hamburg in my opinion."

??? This doesnt sound right. He agreed terms with juve. The clubs didn't agree on a fee. Now if he says hel leave bundesliga now. Does that mean arsenal or Chelsea want him? Dont think so

Well, this is a potential transfer we definitely won't regret. If Elia is this stupid to take shots at a legendary team like Juve that would have been a clear step up in his career, then we are lucky our offer wasn't accepted.
