If your referring to Italy? The only ones I can recall is maybe Pirlo, Rossi and Montolivo.

You don't need to be the better team to win.
As in "X can beat Y" is a non-statement. Any team can beat any other team. The interesting question is the one about the odds of that happening.

So yeah Italy can beat Spain.

The more interesting debate would be how likely Italy is to beat Spain.
