Re: The Champions League Play-Off
Wenger, Nasri and van Persie will all be suspended for the first leg after that debacle in Barcelona (meanwhile, the ref in question is now head of refereeing ), so I'm definitely hoping for an easier team.

Re: The Champions League Play-Off
I forgot about the suspended players, I hope our first game is a away game so we can finish them off at home.
I think we have Liverpool game on the weekend, so the players wont be tired of travailing.

When it comes to Arsenal the stronger a team is the better they perform, lol.

Re: The Champions League Play-Off
We need to avoid the Eastern European clubs just for the sake of travel. It's already a good thing that Panathanaikos are out, so now we don't have to travel all the way to Greece.
The away leg will be first because we're a seeded team. Ideally we'd want Trabzonspor and Rubin Kazan to be eliminanted - if I recall correctly, Kazan is in the far east of Russia... yeah, that's a hell of a long way to travel. Kyiv is actually much closer by comparison.
Romania is quite far away, as well, so let's hope FC Vaslui get knocked out as well.

Re: The Champions League Play-Off
Rubin Kazan, Udinese and Odense are 3 of Arsenal's 5 possible CL opponents in Friday's draw.
Benfica, currently leading 3-0 on agg v trabzonspor, will take Udinese's place in the seeded section due to a higher co-efficent.
In basic terms,
Arsenal
Bayern Munich
Benfica
Lyon
Villarreal
^
seeded teams.
And currently:
Twente
Zurich
Udinese
Odense
R.Kazan
^
Our possible opponents.
Still some games in action though..

Re: The Champions League Play-Off
Tough teams in those draws, and damn without the VP.
Hope Fabregas recovers by then, at least. Kazan is tough as hell, that would be the nightmare draw.
