More annoyed about the fact that he left when the transfer window was shut. Squad settling together then Gyan leaves and we cannot sign a replacement striker. Need to get our cheque book out in January or we could be in big trouble

Good result, plenty of positives to take away from that game. Sad to say it because I do like him, but I think we are a much better team without Cattermole. In fact without Catts & Colback our 2 defensive mid fielders we were much more attack minded. If the defence can continue to play like that we dont need them. Much preferred O'shea as captain aswell. You can tell he is more experienced in the role, organising the team and urging them on. Something which Cattermole hardly seems to do.

Was good to see Vaughan finally get a start also, I can see why he was Blackpool's player of the season ahead of Charlie Adam.

Apparently no other team in the football league has a better record against Stoke than us.

Bendtner was surprisingly good, I think him & Larsson have a very good understanding of each other.

I was surprised how much he gets about the pitch, I was expecting him to hang around the box waiting for tap ins. But he gets back and helps defend, to be honest he looks most dangerous on the break from those kind of situations.

Only downside is I can see Bruce taking this result as a reason to continue playing 1 striker.

Have heard if Wolves don't sign Mcfadden, we might go for him.

Well f me, FT 2 - 1 Norwich pirat

It was a rather evenly-matched game - that is probably worse news for Sunderland than for Norwich.

Overall, disappointing that after a 4-0 thrashing of stoke that we couldn't carry on that form.

Either Sessegnon played too high up or the rest of midfield needed to push forward faster. Like RG said, there was too much empty space between Sunderland's attack and MF. Btw, I thought Bendtner was Sunderland's best player in the game.

He's definitely more of a CAM than a SS.
Bruce still needs to sort the team out.

If Bramble is found guilty and/or his contract terminated, will Sunderland be facing a defensive crisis? They've got Brown and Turner for CB, O'Shea too, I guess. Anyone else?

Cattermole can play there, I believe (though he's even more of a red card waiting to happen in that position).

Id personally love to see him in a Sunderland shirt once again

Sad Doubt it will happen though. Bruce will play some one out of position there. Knowing his selections probably a goalkeeper. Maybe Westwood will get a start.

Nyron was a beast in our promotion season and under Roy Keane. Maybe getting loaned out to MK Dons. Still think he could get a game in the Premier League

I always liked nyron tbh he had a few good spells under Keane.

Before he got injured at one point he was statistically the best defender in the league, there was something like a 93% chance if he went in for a tackle that he would win the ball.

I dont think Bruce gave him a fair chance.

:/ theres speculation Larsson has a broken tow. Some talk Billy Knott might get a start.

Am really impressed with Larsson so far. Him and maybe Bendtner (4 games, 1 goal, 3 assists) have probably been our best players so far.
Would much rather have Nyron than Kilgallon.

Not the greatest start from you guys.

Saying that, it's still early in the league. Should finish top 10. Need to get your act together soon though.

I'd say Sess needs to get a few goals.
In January transfer window, we should definitely buy a defender.
Richardson isn't great to play at LB
