Re: Newcastle United FC
Santon is in my ailing fantasy team and he's brilliant, end of story.
What comes to Newcastle's form, here's what I think:
I've never been one to call for "pace" in teams, but I think that's what Newcastle could do with. Pacey wingers might be good for Newcastle's rhythm and create some space for other players. Too many 'keep the ball' or 'win the ball' guys and not enough sheer one-on-one danger.

Don't usually post these but i enjoyed reading this and not for the line up reasons that its been made for....
Especially these passages here.....
All very shocking revelations tbh, we are improving and fast compare this to earlier in season where we looked out of ideas and constantly hoofed.
I'm sure these performances will bare fruit soon not to mention with Debuchy coming in and Anita, Cabaye, Taylor and HBA back soon and the possibility of Remy and a CB too the end of the season should end better than it's begun.
I just wish it hadn't taken us till December to play like this.

NUFC were in touching distance of Manchester United and an actual threat to Alex Ferguson’s side. The game had everything, and goals aplenty. Needless to say, United scraped a win in the dying seconds courtesy of the poaching Mexican, Hernandez. Even though we lost the game in the dying moments, it was a sterling effort from the lads. On another day, we would have won that game – Sylvain & Sammy’s efforts both hitting the woodwork at a stage when another goal for us would have most certainly taken the wind out of United’s sails.
Our trip to the capital resulted in the same story – we controlled the game, scored a bucket-load of goals but still continue to disguise our back four as a sieve. 7 goals conceded is a tad unacceptable, but it was never a four goal hammering, far from it.
Indeed, while stats aren’t always very reliable, they are statistical facts and the numbers recorded in the Arsenal game were nothing less than staggering.
We had 56% of the possession for the entire game; played 108 more passes than Arsenal, and had a 89% passing completion rate for the 90 minutes. With a fully fit squad, and a new RB we would have won that game, I have no doubt.
There are quite a lot of positives to take from our two duels with AFC & MUFC, and some people might be missing them due the frantic scorelines.
Compare our passages of play away at Old Trafford/Emirates to that of our efforts away at Stoke, or at home to West Ham/Swansea. We are a much better passing outfit now and tend to keep the ball on the deck rather than hoof it long. The results of such a passing movement? Scoring 7 goals in two games with an under-strength & fatigued team.

WCFTNE
Yeah good luck to him, he's a fantastic goal scorer and should do great at Chelsea.
At least Cisse will be through the middle now hopefully we can get forward who can play out wide like Remy.
Ben Arfa-Cisse-Remy front 3 is arguably better and definitely more balanced.
Mark Douglas @MsiDouglas
Remy is #1 target for #nufc. Been told he wants to come; presence of Debuchy increases chances of deal. Takes on increased urgency now.

Well that was shit hoping Taylor and Cabaye being supposedly next week as well as Debuchy coming in and Cisse going back to the center will be enough to get some bloody points and try to forget this season ever happened.

Its already done mate, and we didn't exactly have any choice in the matter.
He had a clause, Chelsea met it and thats about that really.

I blame 'Arry for this one.
On one hand, this is not good news...Chelsea will finally have a top striker on their hands. On the other hand, Ba is always a risk with that knee of his, this could pay off well for Chelsea, or god forbid an awful injury- be a mistake and have them back where they started.
I think if Newcastle get Remy this will be a good move for them. I have no idea why Remy would want to go to Newcastle though. Especially since Spurs been interested in him several times before but he snubbed us

Re: Newcastle United FC
I don't actually think he rejected spurs rather OM rejected your offers.
Anyway i dont know why he wants to join either mainly because how much in the shit we are atm
If we bought him in the summer i would get it but not now...
We do have a shit load of french players and a very high rep in france as well as the EL to boast but i would have thought our current league predicament would put players off...
Seems not honestly if i was Debuchy i would ran back to France
I can't complain though and hopefully Remy and a CB of similar quality arrive and asap because we need them.

Re: Newcastle United FC
Perhaps....I wouldn't put it past Levy to go all bidding about 9 million euros for Remy and then giving up the chase.
Who are you guys looking at for CB's?
As shite as your season has been, when Cabaye and Ben Arfa come back and you get Remy, and bring in a good CB...you guys will be right back to where you were a season ago. Maybe even better. Will you guys be in for Debuchy again in the summer?
