Re: The Missing Link : Nuri Sahin
I dont think, he is one of those guys that will be eased into the first team no matter what.
It's Nuri Sahin ffs, not Javi Marquez
he outtalent all our midfield, and he is as hard working as it gets, he will swallow them all when he is fit, and there is nothing anyone can do about it, his skill level is way too high.

You don't break up a successful unit that has gelled in the middle of the season... that's all i'm saying. I'm not doubting Sahin's talent. But this is just a fact. Group cohesion is 50% of the battle.

Re: The Missing Link : Nuri Sahin
nah dude, he was signed to have a big role within the squad, and despite being injured, he is still well within the plans of Mou.
Only way he wouldnt play as much this year is if he doesnt perform at all. He has an etiquette next to his name.
Even mid season, he will be eased up within the squad and first eleven

in mourinhos eyes: workhouse>>>>>>>skills
which is why if lass stays sahin will find it very very hard to get minutes let alone start
AM is another think you dont need to be a workhouse, skills and vision is what counts there, which is why ozil did so great
remember last year when ozil came to our team, how canales started the first couple of games even though ozil had outshoned him in bundesliga, Mou doesnt give a flying f!ck if youre good in another league, if a player has performed better than sahin in Mous eyes, it would spell the end of his wish of starting

Re: The Missing Link : Nuri Sahin
lol Sahin is a workhorse, Incredibly ambitious and hard working, that's why he is so good. In his younger years, his ambition was too much, and he struggled to make it through, but when he figured how much work he needed to put in, he became the best around.
Sahin mix insane work with insane skills, and a big pair of balls. I only started watching Dortmund last year because of him, he said he was gonna be better than Schweiny, and he outplayed him, kid is no joke. Still feel like some dont realize the wealth of his talent.
Canales only started because Ozil came in very late in the season, Canales had been there from day one, learning and training AM within mou system. best bet for day one.

I disagree but that's ok. Sahin is in his first year and has no experience with Madrid or his teammates. He can't just come back and jump right in. In my opinion, for him to make an impact now, he will need to beat out someone and that will be tough if there's a lot of success without him. Just my opinion though.

Re: The Missing Link : Nuri Sahin
Not that he will be starting from his first day back in, but Mourinho is well aware of the extent of his skills, and he will be eased up within the group, just as much as kaka was last season. Mourinho knew he could use an on form kaka in the big games late in the season, so he tried to put him at level. The same thing will happen with Sahin.
Now, if you ask me if Altintop will have any chance, then HELL NO.

Kaka was in his second year though and had a monster reputation and used to big settings. Mou was counting on his experience and skills. Sahin is a young player who has no experience with Madrid or with elite situations... really different.
not saying that Sahin won't play. But there would be no reason to upset a winning formula if we have developed one without him. If Xabi, Khedira and Coentrao are all having great season... how could Mou justify benching one of them? You win your job in the preseason and first 1/3 of the regular season. After that, the team needs to be settled unless there's a lack of performance somewhere or injury.

Re: The Missing Link : Nuri Sahin
Nah, Mou had in his plans to accomodate everyone regardless of injuries so he will still do that.
I think you are vastly overlooking the skill package Sahin is coming in with. It's simply unmatched within the group.
just for that mou will put him at level.

Again, agree to disagree. you're not balancing talent with the cohesion factor... and the people in front of him are very talented as well.

Re: The Missing Link : Nuri Sahin
Talent and versatility cant match natural skills sometimes, and this is one of the case.
I am overlooking the cohesion factor, mainly because Sahin was brought in to be an important piece of this team, and Mourinho will show him love.
His teammates playing in his role know they are replacing him, and eventhough competition is still an important factor in this team, he will get to fight for his place, with a little tip on his shoulder.
It's well within the plans of mou to use them all, and like i said, It's Nuri f**king Sahin, not Amir Altintop.
Even if there is chemistry to build when he actualy plays, let's not forget that at least he is natural in the midfield, and plays with ridiculous amount of intelligence. I have no doubt that he will see plays within the midfield that even coentrao and khedira cant see on PES or FIFA.

Re: The Missing Link : Nuri Sahin
lets all leave it at if he outperforms the other players like ozil did, he will make that B2B spot his own however if he doesnt his past bundesliga skills wont help him in any way

Lass > Gago that post is surely sarcasm?
Lass is one of the best dms around even though his head isnt in the right place. gago cant tackle for shit anyways, well not anymore. plus gago is injury prone, glass thinner than robben. we need not injury prone players.
Re: The Missing Link : Nuri Sahin
well for your info, gago is better tackler then xabi.
And you are saying about tackling by lass, that headless chicken can differenciate between a human and a ball, so how in the world he knows how to tackle.
Gago is/was currently injury prone last year, but i rate him way above lass.
Lass doesnt have tactical nor the tackling skills. he disturbs our whole team pressing unit. There is no way i want him as a starting eleven. Not that he even have a potential because of his headless chicken thingy.
Even khedira is better then him.

What is this I don't even..... Khedira? Better? only in Height, mentality, Tactical Awareness is khedira better, anything else lass is better. Only concerns with lass is lack of tactical skills in a 4-2-3-1, fouls as much as his successful tackles, inconsistent, mentality. otherwise he is an elite dm and one i can trust in a 4-3-3. not just an elite dm but the best dm on this team. a big plus wud be that unlike khedira he is not injury prone.
Re: The Missing Link : Nuri Sahin
Khedira is miles better than Lass... Lass is very limited in what he does. That's why he's not even considered for France NT anymore.

though it is true that all lass can do is break up play (passing too inconsistent to be worth a mention), the responsibilities in wut he does isnt matched by many persons. khedira doesnt match lass's quality in tackling. no where near. I think Lass's bs antics are affecting u guys, clouding ur judgement and growing the bias. Though im not exactly happy at wut he has done in recent time, I will recognise the ability that lass has regardless.
@ sport, blanc thinks he needs nothing but b2b mids, nuff said.

Sahin out till november, he will be missing 8 laliga games and 3 CL games.
According to goal.com
damn, such a start for this player in madrid.
