flop in big games

Absolutely wrong

He scored in the semi final, I don't care what anyone says that was a perfectly legit goal

Lol. A disallowed goal makes him a big game striker when he's been an epic fail otherwise?

Scored against Milan Very Happy and Barca(legit goal) and was unlucky against Lyon.

Do you really want me to list the big time goals in benzema's career. Hint: there are at least 10.

It's kinda scary how Benzema played well for half a season and still has great stats.

Higgy is aweful in the cl, we kind of need a big time attacker to score in the cl, give Benzema another year and i think he will shine

lets be realistic, benzema scored a load of hattricks in meaningless games. 3 goals against auxere LOL. Only meaningful goal he scored all season was against sevilla.

Thats right folks, i didnt forget my "list". Higuain srsly needs to improve CL wise. Hes perfect everywhere but not CL.....

Benzema with OL-

Rosenborg BK - Norway
FC Steaua Bucureşti - Romani
Dynamo Kyiv - Ukraine
Stuttgart - Germany
Rangers - Scotland
Fiorentina - Italy
Bayern Munich - Germany
Manchester United - England

Benzema with Real Madrid-

AC Milan - Italy
Ajax - Holland
Auxerre - France
OL - France

Quite a profile.

Heres Higuain's profle for those who might be interested.

Higuain - Real Madrid

FC Zürich - Switzerland
Ajax - Holland
AC Milan - Italy

I thought he wud have one more team he scored on when I read that higuain scored only 4 (Officially) but it turned out in the season of 09-10 he scored two goals his two goals that season on FC Zurich exclusively. that same season, benz scored only one goal which was against AC Milan.

Thoughts?

EDIT: Okay now u all may be wondering why I excluded Higuain's goal against Farca. well that is becuz not only was the goal disallowed (At the hands of the ref and UEFA), but also becuz currently, Higuain plays for Real madrid. I dont count any team that is from the domestic league during which the said player is playing for a team which is in the same league as the team he scored on in europe. If Benz scored against barca during when he wore the madrid shirt, I will not count it either. likewise, if he had scored against a french team during when he wore the OL jersey, I wud not count it as well. Only reason I list his former team OL in the profile is becuz he is with Real Madrid now and Lyon isnt part of La Liga when he scored on them, Auxerre included. Hope ye all understand all that long text and hope it clears any unanswered questions.

That I would give him. The goal against Lyon was a pretty huge goal that shouldn't be ignored.

Lol, a goal is always coming but sometimes never reaches. Benzema's away goal proved to be a really vital goal in us breaking the R16 issue.

You dont get it, I dont care for higgy or benzema. This thread is supposed to reflect the reality of our striker but it does anything but. Fact remains that the only player who scores winning goals regularly through out all the season against different opponents is cristiano. Higgy is fantastic at times, a life saver in our darkest moments and then he fails in easy moments. Benzema is great but he is ohhh soooooo emotional, he had a good run but we could have decided the title on the last day if he didnt miss so much during Dec-Feb period.

Like not belittling Higuain to show Benzema in a good light in the midst of the rumours of him getting the chop for Aguero?!

Thx. It's actually looking good for both our strikers, their game is much cleaner. My only reserve with this is that they are playing with Ozil, Di Maria, Ronaldo etc...

Kun does it alone, Forlan was crao this season, and Reyes is Mr. inconsistent

Shots and pass attempts + goalscoring chances is a more complete way to look at the overall impact of a striker. I'll post these after the France game.

Im more worried about higuain than i am the benz. if higuain is non transferable then he doesnt need to affirm himself staying.

I rate Higuain very highly. just dont rate him very much in cl. he has done nothing to change my opinion of him in cl if anything its worse now. If he cant break this bad habit next season, he is on his way to becoming the new Zlatlan Ibrahimovic.

Always a technical one. They can make the difference in more diverse ways and get involved in the game. They are also always the best.
