Re: Premier League 2023/24
game is pretty even but as per usual this season - our GK is dogshit. DDG had errors in him often but he was a genuinely great shot stopper. He saved us far more often than he sunk us. Onana inspires ZERO confidence ever. We keep giving teams easy leads.

Re: Premier League 2023/24
Saw this post and honestly I find it hard to disagree
'Onana, Antony, Mount, Hojlund. Worst group of signings under a manager ever.'
that's like 250+ million..

United need a restructuring as a whole and their squad is bang average bar 1-2 exceptions.
who are these exceptions? Mainoo holds some potential, Garnacho maybe too

Re: Premier League 2023/24
Hojlund is very good give him time. I can't speak for Onana since he mostly was just a shot stopper in Inter and had one good season only.
Im guessing whomever scouted Antony is that trick-spamming whore on Fifa and Ive no clue why Mount was signed at all. Average player.

Re: Premier League 2023/24
we cant shift these scrubs we signed for big money, the only players I would keep in the starting 11 if I had a say would be Varane (under a diff manager with quality around him) Bruno (very frustrating but needs more quality around him) and Mainoo
and that's it
Luke Shaw at LB too but both he and Varane are injured half of every season

Casemiro even if a bit past it
Varane

Maguire when he is on form.

Re: Premier League 2023/24
I'm not sold on Hojlund tbh...his first touch is horrible and I'm not seeing anything to make me optimistic of his future, despite him being young and raw. The thing is he was signed out of desperation for big money and has big expectations because of it. It's unfair to judge him in the situation we've forced on him.

Re: Premier League 2023/24
It's hard to judge anyone in this zero morale squad as it stands. Onana is the most obvious example and the Hojlund I saw for Atalanta and Denmark, his first touch was amongst his best traits. I am sure you play footy too and will know on low confidence days on field it'll always be the worst.

Re: Premier League 2023/24
I'm not sure what ETH is trying to do structurally. The team looks like it's trying to play a system it doesn't understand.
Also, no finishing whatsoever. The strikers are awful for Man U.

What's the point of Bruno F and Eriksen playing together.

Villa are a nervous wreck themselves. They are there for the taking. They play such a ridiculous high line it's bad that Utd players keep getting caught offside time and again

Knew it, only matter of time surprise teams like Villa start to drop off
So bad how they concede these 3 goals... mentally worst than Arsenal?

villa will still finish above us this season and top 4 IMO, they aren't a fluke team, well coached with good players

Re: Premier League 2023/24
Man C win their game in hand n would be 3rd just 3 points behind top. LFC lose Salah soon to AFC, n Arsenal gonna self implode as usual sooner or later. Pep got this

Re: Premier League 2023/24
Not sure about Villa since I dont watch them But just think Emery is overrated af. Its like any other manager whos team overperforms for a while n everyone starts raving they are the best coach around, Ive seen it so many times b4.
Might though, since woulda thought Newcastle would be there but theyve fallen off a cliff? Chelsea r a mess, Spurs are thin, n yes Man U need to stay in the Conference League > Although EPL Gets 5 CL spsots I Think next season?

Re: Premier League 2023/24
Where Lenglet and Carlos the CB partnership when Villa thrashed City? Must be a new low for Pep in that case
Villa deserve nothing from this game. Osasuna would've given Utd more to think about than them.
They're pathetic on the ball. Like no creativity in that team. How are they even that high up in the table
Justice for LaLiga

Hold Arsenal and City with a clean sheet for 180 minutes then concede 3 in 30 against the most impotent team I've seen in a long time, smh.
Anyway, ETH IN? @Firenze

Re: Premier League 2023/24
Not much to add since the last post, we are doing the same shite of not putting teams to bed. Just keep pace with the leaders until AFCON is over and maybe we could surprise a few people with everyone back fit.
Jota killed the game instantly this week as he came back. Hopefully Mac, Robbo and Thiago perform at the same level once they are back. Hope we see our strongest 11 for atleast a couple of games this season.
