Napoli goes 1st if they win tonight, its not an easy match at all given Cagliari's recent form.

Napoli to win the scudetto if they go out to Barca in EL. If they remain in EL we'll see. They've survived their crisis and came back on a good streak. Let's see how long the current Inter crisis lasts.

Napoli-Milan in two weeks

I dont understand Inter or Serie A atm. If Dezko is better Lukaku, why arent they walking the league? The rest of the teams suck? Razz

The points at the top end are nearly the same across European league, including Serie A. However, Serie A currently has 3 teams competing, all which dropped points this weekend. Juve would have started competing if they didn't also draw this weekend. Yet, they were not punished by 5th place Atalanta who lost, not by Lazio and Roma who drew.

So the leaguenis extremely competitive at the top end, and is starting to get a bit interesting in the bottom.

Dzeko is better than Lukaku career-wise, but Lukaku was better than him last year, and he is being overplayed by Inzaghi.

Still, this weekend, Inter lost to giant killers Sassulo while Milan drew against bottom of the table Salernitana. So I actually think this round was worse for Milan. If we don't get Ibra back from injury, we will struggle to finish in the CL spots.

There is a smaller difference from the top teams to the midtable.

Torino and Verona (Ivan Juric deserves credit for both) can beat any team on a good day, organized and well coached teams that combine direct physical play with possesion, the Atalanta model. Sassuolo and Fiorentina found themselves under Dionisi and Italiano and with a bunch of talented players. Sassuolo are still the same, capable to beat Inter, Milan, and Juve yet be midtable.

It makes for a strong top half of the table, stronger than it was in recent years.

At the same time teams are the top are a bit weaker, there is no ultra dominant teams like Inter of last year and Juve of the last 10.

It's not choking.

It's the real level of the team against "weaker" opposition without the influence of Ibra's rage.

It reason we are still "competing" is a lucky win against Inter. If Ibra isn't back with form, we will be lucky to get fourth.

Milan and Inter trying their best to give Insigne a title victory with Napoli.

At this rate, the empire is coming from the back to win it.

Refereeing decisions have been shocking but there’s obviously a pattern with our struggles against smaller teams.

Pioli isn’t someone like Conte or Pep who practice patterns and automatisms all training long. Those guys train their players to play like robots which is advantageous in league games as it enables better consistency.

Milan play more freely and that’s the problem. When you rely on individual brilliance more than routines you’re more prone to inconsistency. The biggest problem is that our front 4 doesn’t have any reliable goal scorer when Ibra is out. We really can’t go another season relying on him as a starter. The other issue is no attacker is consistent at offering that individual brilliance. Maybe Leao is starting to show that these days, but Brahim, Messias, and Giroud aren’t.

If Milan wants to win the title they’re going to need to add more goals and individual quality to the attacking positions.

Inter are literally dead, 4 matches with no wins, 2 in a row without goals, soon Torino, Juve, Fiorentina

luckily Atalanta are done too otherwise we'd risk 4th place

Surely Scudetto is finished after derby, that match ruined everything

Napoli won against Lazio with the last kick of the game.

This looks like their title at the moment with both Milan teams dropping easy points.

I think the title race could be clarified in the Napoli vs. Milan match.

Crazy to think that Milan could be clear if they were not scrubs that drop points against the bottom four teams in the league.

Lazio outplayed then for a lot of the game to but faced a great Ospina and Lazio's defenders are scrubs.

I posted earlier that if Barca knocked out Napoli then they would be there for the title, still believe it. Inter will continue to drop in that tough stretch after Salernitana imo. Then we'll hace Milan-Napoli to see who positions themselves as the front runner.

Milan has the easiest run of fixtures left, might be determining.

We have to win all 5 matches in March basically, with the coppa game being the lowest priority. But the Serie A games and the CL are all must wins. If we win those 5 matches our season becomes a success imo. If not, it will go down to the end like last time.

Spezia-Roma who watched it? @McLewis @Robespierre ?

Pellergini returning really does roma a world of good. Creates so many chances.

This was madness in a pre-Mourinho vintage Roma sort of way.

3(?) posts, 1 by Pellegrini's shot and 2 from his "assists". A red card to Spezia at half time. A host of chances, something like 25 shots or more. Zaniolo enters, creates chaos, shots, and chances, then gets kicked in the face at the end Laughing and gets a penalty that Abraham scores to seal the game.

Not convinced about that red card given to Spezia though, imo ref should have avoided this

Spezia looked like saved after Milan match but you can't relax about relegation battle

Cagliari proves it, they look like a new team after Godin,Caceres etc have been sent away. The victory at Torino is significant

Yes, winning in Turin was huge. Playing Cagliari right now is one of the toughest matches.

Spezia-Cagliari next week will be a big match, with current form it looks like Spezia have little chance but in such a match it can change. The only team that looks doomed is Salernitana. Even Genoa is coming back to life.

Cagliari-Lazio
Roma-Atalanta
Juve-Spezia
Napoli-Milan

This weekend can be great for us if we take the chance.

-7 points with 11 games left to play i would not count Juve out of the race. Our remaining schedule is somewhat easy

Champion mentality will prevail hopefully. Inter, Milan, Napoli it's time to choke and congratulate each other for 2nd place.

Its still too optimistic imo. We probably have negative head to head with most of these tams so its 8 points they need to drop while we need to win every game, including vs Inter. Dybala and Bernardeschi should be back for Spezia I think. At least on the bench. We really need them fit for this last push.

The odds for Milan in tonight's cup game with Inter are enticing

3,35  to win and 2,8 to advance. Inter seems to be in shit form past few games hmm these cup games are always high risk bets though, better bet on corners or sth, under 2.5 goals maybe
