He's a good addition, but a risky one and comes at a huge price, all tho being able to pay to 4 installments, the first one being summer of 2023 isn't bad

We need to get the wage bill down which we had to do anyway since it was disproportionately high compared to other big clubs. Just a matter of time while contracts are being re-negotiated and some deadweight is on their away out namely Umtiti, Coutinho, Luuk De Jong, Demir, Dest, S.Roberto


The price is high but not bad because he's young. Problems arise when you sign a Griezmann type, 27+ years old, for 100m and he flops, then nobody wants to buy him with astronomically high wages.

We signed talents like him in the past, Andre Gomes, Paco, Arthur etc. so while I agree I'm a bit more skeptical. As I said time will tell, but he's not a sure thing by any means.

Apparently Xavi is "crazy" about him, meaning Ferran was his first option, there was some talk about Dani Olmo but he must've been quickly discarded. Not sure who I prefer out of the two. I suppose XH sees glimpses of Pedro or Villa in Ferran or something.

I heard City's staff estimated he could bag 25 goals a season, thatd be impressive for a 21 year old.

His stats last season in the Prem were 7 goals and 2 assists in 1306 minutes which is about 14 games, often as a sub. Is it safe to assume he could score 19 goals in a full 38-game league season as a starter? Maybe. It's a bold prediction honestly, that'd put him ahead of Vardy for instance, and at 3rd  top scorer of the league.

According to Pep's assistants Ferran is also very intelligent and tactically astute.

Oh of course, he's been rated as one of the better Spanish talent in the last couple of years, and is really highly rated by Valencia fan, some even said that he's a bigger talent then David Silva which is high praises at the end of the day, but with how things have gone with us signing some of these top talents and not working out, just makes me more skeptical tbh

If Pep and his staff was high on him, they would've kept him at all cost, the fact Pep let him go, knows he's replaceable, City tier 1 were saying how Pep and his staff believe Cole Palmer is a bigger talent and has high potential also.

Pep also let go of Sane who is a relatively talented player. But yes, Ferran doesnt seem irreplaceable. We'll see how this first signing of Xavi develops and how good his judgment is. For Spain NT, Ferran has been great, however.
