Politics and religion section
I suggest we delete the entire section for politics and religion. We have numerous threads in this area and everyone of them have severe disagreements and insults (which are rarely dealt with by moderators). I suspect due to the delicate nature of the topic that mods are hesitant to step into the discussion / disagreement / insults. I ask a bigger question; why are we allowing such discussions on what is supposed to be a futbol forum? If they aren’t eliminated or banned, at least do what twitter and more recently facebook are doing and flag or take down fake news or offensive posts.

Wtf, more like this thread is fake news. In politics and religions section of course people will debate and disagree. Sometimes it turns toxic and moderators McLewis and BC intervene, also they take active part in conversations.
It's also a bit late to realize this is primary a football forum, but some persons have other interests. Should mods lock NBA/Fantasy thread ? Since the ratio hostility/posts is much higher there

Wow, GTFO you censoring POS.
Go live in China or Saudi Arabia if you want discussions and back-and-forth debate banned.

If people are that "offended" or sensitive to posts on the cyberspace of a football forum I'd suggest they question their own direction of life.
We are all adults now hence why censorship on this forum is just less than what it was and that is fine.

I disagree. I apologize if I hurt sentiments and I am willing to accept the repercussions when I am offensive to understand and educate myself, but the mods at GL do a great job. There is a fine line between speaking your mind and being out of place in a discussion and the mods have always consistently handled that properly with perfect leeway ex Unique.

Ok I withdraw my comment. Mods feel free to close this thread. It’s probably my age (73), that is the reason I find some of these threads annoying and at times disturbing. The latest one I feel was best summed up by M99. Some of the left vs right and communism vs capitalism threads bothered me as well. IMO squabbling over extremism.

No no, this is a public forum under RG's dictatorship. You had every right to bring it up when things went rough. I am glad you did, since it reminds us on how to portray an argument (I am not eloquent when posting here) and understand when it goes out of hand. I think its all healthy because ultimately you see everyone close to their real selves rather than a hidden football identity, because GL is more than just a random forum, most of us have been here together almost a decade now.

Well, discussions about politics and religion are meant for adults, I mean the mental state not the age.

Never have I ever hoped we had a strong misogynistic culture but for now, wishing that this is the case
In any case, I agree with Arq. The forum has grown up now. When it started most of the older members were in their early to mid 20's and in university. The youngest were in middle school
At this point we're both old enough and known each other long enough that nobody should really be taking great offense to each other, although the need for civility still stands, hence BC, McLewis, Kick and the mod team.
