That was about what should be expected from Davies tbh.

He's not a natural defender yet so tactically he wasn't particularly good today. His pace saved him a few times, but he still struggled a bit. I hope Flick works more on his positioning and awareness for next season.

I don't know why Liverpool fans are so cautious of him. Thiago will just do what Keita was supposed to. Bring creativity in midfield. He'll also play deep left covering Robertson's back. It'll help them against parked buses. I would be surprised as hell if he flops there.

About Tuchel not doing enough with PSG, I think its always looks bad in a game when it doesnt work, but definitely not like he did nothing. PSG's midfield I always said is too defensive though especially in the big games since u got a pure DM, a couple of for me more defensive ones or at best all rounder, only Veratti with his passing looks like creating something at times, so it is mostly just relying on the front three. Against weaker teams its ok since he can play more attacking players in there. Anyway, this game Di Maria and Neymar tried, but was a case of Bayern being just too good with contained any plan PSG had, apart from those few chances made still obviously.

About Mcmanaman Im really curious, so hes considered one of the bad pundits? He was my favourite player when started watching football, and then he went to Real which I unfortunately were able to follow due to no coverage back then, but from what I gathered he was unlucky yo suffer the crazy policies of Galaticos v1 and he did well at Real despite not many chances given, right? Together with Liverpool his overall career was really successful. I would have thought he'd be a good pundit. I cant be sure since I hardly ever get to listen to English commentary and have to suffer the Chinese ones which are so bad I often are forced to just turn sound off lol.

It wasn’t only the Galacticos policy he suffered from, he was injured a lot towards the end of his career for Real Madrid. He always performed, though. Performance- wise, he deserved to play a lot of the time when he didn’t. Then again, I think it was fair to bench him considering how injury prone he had become.

A great player doesn’t necessarily make a good pundit or manager, unfortunately. Fotball players aren’t generally known to be particularly intelligent or wise either, for that matter.
