He was in the stadium so if he wasn’t injured I’m sure he would have been on the bench in case he was needed. If he was in the stadium but not on the bench he probably really was injured.

Yep they're saying he's got ankle discomfort or something but I'm not buying it. I read something a week ago that Messi planned to miss the Eibar game but there was no mention of injury & he was fine after last game before christmas break.

Sorry but I disagree. Messi's fitness is absolutely subpar yet he is pressing and playing as much defense as he can to his credit. He needs the rest.

The fact that you're counting on a penalty to win you the game is the issue. Both Griezzmann and Coutinho should never play together, you need natural width and only one 10#, not two or three.

Also side note, coutinho injured for 5 months with a simple non contact injury. makes you wonder

When was the last time la liga was won by Christmas? Every team has down time, you are giving up on the premise that Atleti keeps their streak going? La liga isn’t yet 50% complete?

Kroos did his Houdini act yesterday after some impressive performances. I think having Marcelo on his side gasses the shit out of him, so he can’t contribute offensively.

Asensio needs to play centrally. I’m sure zizou sees this but the wings are an easy place to give minutes to him. His long shots are a weapon and he holds on to the ball well. Plus; he plays defense.

You mean have Asensio play the role that Odegaard can play?

Militao's problem is confidence which can only be gained through more playtime. he was great in Porto, talent like that don't just disappear. Zidane should grow some balls and start pairing him with Varane in easy La Liga and Copa matches.
