I mean we all eventually want him to be our own Zidane or Pep but both coaches had some sort of prior coaching experience before taking over their respective clubs

We have thrown Pirlo into the deep end now. It's a massive risk but I am somewhat excited about this and I have this gut feeling he's going to do well here.

I am guessing this is a financial decision too as other managers would have asked for guarantees in the market which in this current situation would have been difficult to accommodate

Pirlo has never had any previous coaching experience. The guy has never implemented his own game model on a team or controlled the dressing room, and now he's going to coach a top European team.

Don't compare him to Pep and Zidane. Pep was practically Lillo's assistant coach in Mexico and coached Barca B. Zidane was Ancelotti's assistant and then coached Castilla.

He's more likely to be a Seedorf than those two. Hell, I think Seedorf had been hired in a similar position. No experience whatsoever either and we all know how that turned out.

The advantage Pirlo has is that Juve is a super team in Italy and their quality can mask his shortcomings while he learns on the job. The problem is that the other Italian teams are improving and the likes of Inter are going to be on his neck.

It's a risky appointment and it really doesn't make much sense. You have Cristiano on his ending years and you take the risk of hiring Pirlo WTF?

I know everyone loved him as a player and saw him as a future manager and now want him to succeed. The other day he was talking about how he didn't want to rush his managerial career and it was important he started with the U23 Juve side. Now he's walked into the senior job just like that lol.
