Could we be talking of him being one of the top (3) midfielders in the world?

No doubt he would fit into the team well. The fact him and Guardiola know each other well would also help.

What sort of impact do you guys think he could make their and how well do you think he'd go

i think he would be on the bench if he went in the last 2 or 3 years..

if he went before that he xavi and iniesta would play which would leave the team without an enforcer..

a prime pirlo would imo bench xavi and busquets, although in the last few years i think hed play off the bench for them

Well, let us just say that Pep or whoever the coach is would find a way to fit Pirlo into the team and he would have a good impact.

And no, i dont think a prime Pirlo would bench a prime Xavi. But it is impossible to choose between both of them, atleast for me. Both are just as awesome.

Pirlo is 32. Form 2002-2007 he was best in the world in this position. After age 28, he were injured, never returned to old level. But still in top 4-5 of that position today.
