sheer insanity, United under Fergie had luck waves but this...this is actually absurd. COnvinced Klopp sacrificed his soul to finall start winning tbh. Pool definitely won the title now. Still can't beat us though.
Speaking of big performance from the lads today. Can see us catching Sheffield United soon. Tears in my eyes.

I can't believe we've above title chasing City when our main goal is promoting youth this season
also, hoping Leicester win the title again
Also, what a game that was One of the best I've seen this season.

Lampard was bound to be a great coach.
I predicted Lamps to be good one as it is given he is known to be intelligent, spoke tactically with any coach he had incessantly always driving them mad and the leadership to boot. Great personality overall as it is.
Chelsea since they have been infinitely less hatable post Mourinho and Abramovic abandoning them, I am fully behind in this project.
Lamps truly made the best of what's he given.

Amazing how Lampard has turned Mount, Abraham and Tomori from youth prospects into reliable first team players in a matter of months.
Also, I've always believed Lampard was the best option for manager out of all of our old guard. He has so many of the qualities that are needed. I also love how he is not Mourinho 2.0, despite their close relationship.

While it pains me to see Pool fans not suffering, seeing Pep show his true colours as a proper sore loser always warms my heart. Thank you Liverpool, you may win the title in peace now.

this is so elegantly and subtly mean lmao
well done
but looking at the table, it is surely too early, yet I can't help but get the feeling the top 4 has already formed, and it's different from what we expected?
Somehow can't see Arsenal or Utd closing that gap the way they're presenting themselves (Utd look good now, but they will look bad again). I would say Tottenham and Poch should have it in themselves to go on a run and then 12 points are made up quickly, but they've been so shaky, and Leicester so consistent..
Rodgers
I underestimated him somewhat

Rodgers has always been good.
Before Swansea he was a disaster but where his Swansea glory began was something most coaches from the isles don't do.
And that is venture abroad and learn something outside of England/Scotland etc and he studiously ventured to Spain & Netherlands and spent a year and a half learning from their schools of thought and expanding his knowledge beyond what was a man who was not even a footballer.
In Liverpool not only we saw him grow but we saw him lose a ton of weight since he was relatively obese when he came.
What he does lack is confidence hence why he can be rather stiff in communicating with top players, does not relay his ideas well and pressure visibly does get to him thus preventing him from performing in key moments of the season in changes that are waiting to be made.
But to renew this beautiful Leicester side is a thing of magic and I am glad to see him earn the respect he does.
Still young and still growing, I see.

Without a massive change of fortunes, I think the top four is relatively set. Still a long way to go though.

Can't see Leicester or Sheffield hanging on to their spots until the end of the season tbh.

Since Rodgers took over, Leicester have been fantastic, and are rightfully in the top four. I don't see them slowing down, just like the rest of the top four.

Leicester have been fantastic and fully deserve to be in the top four, I agree.
But the question is, will they still remain consistent when fatigue and (possibly) injuries catch up to them in the second half of the season? They might, but it's still way too early to tell and I don't agree that the top four is already set in stone. Teams can still get in or out depending on their form, which is predicated on many different factors including depth and consistency.

I think top 4 is already settled (except City will finish second probably), can't see Sheffield, Utd or Gud ebening catching up to the top dogs this season.
Liverpool already won the title in November. Talk about competetiveness.

Don't underestimate the impact of managerial change on team performance.
If Arsenal and United change their coaches midseason, there's a slight chance things may get better for them. They'll never catch up to Pool or City, but Chelsea and especially Leicester are still catch-able. And there's no way in hell Sheffield remains fifth.

Re: 2019/2020 Premier League Discussion: Chapter II
Spurs could go on a run. Arsenal could too with a managerial change. Idk why we're acting like the top 4 is set this early in the year.
Man U I don't think has it in them. Even if they change managers, the squad needs work.
Tottenham are broken right now and continue to be, but I definitely think they can get past it now that injuries are almost gone. Lo Celso and N'Dombele are big for them, but Poch has to start using them correctly.
With that being said, I'm getting pretty pessimistic Spurs will catch up.

I think Poch has lost the dressing room. I don't think the players want him gone or anything, but I feel he can't motivate them anymore. His situation is very similar to Klopp's final year at Dortmund. Maybe this is the time for them to part ways.
Spurs will definitely improve though. I just can't see them finishing in the top four or even coming close to it.

Its depressing either way. But the thing most United fans including myself find solace in is if City win (again) the whole thing will quickly fade away. They are a soulless club with least fans worldwide for all their riches and talent. However hard they try to market their success, ultimately nobody will even care apart from their tiny fanbase. So, we can lol quickly move on and wait for the new season.
But it’s a whole another thing if Liverpool finally win their elusive PL title. Things will get unbearable. So yea I do prefer City over Pool everytime untill City somehow start becoming a global cub.
That being said, forgetting the rivalry for a moment, I do respect Pool and Klopp for the football they are playing and work they are doing. Reminds me of SAF’s united, buying lesser known players from lower leagues and making them top players.

No way the top 4 is set. Chelsea may still make it. But they are due a dip soon. Young players will get inconsistent. Leicester is hard to say. They do look pretty good right now. But I can see a lot of draws towards the 2nd half of the season for them against smaller teams. Rodgers will bottle when it matters.
Spurs will come right back into it soon. They might have to change Poch, but second half they will go on a run like they always does. As for us and Arsenal, less likely.

Re: 2019/2020 Premier League Discussion: Chapter II
What a day to start the football after the international break. 8 matches will be played today only
It starts with a potentially banter match - the London Derby between WestHam vs Spurs. I guess we will have lot to discuss about after the match.
And then all top 4 teams are in action and it might turn out to be an interesting day towards the end. The fatigue after the international break might influence the Liverpool vs Palace ending in a draw with a usual habitual late goal for Liverpool (noobs calling it lucky as always). Leicester will win another game within their purple patch and will close the gap with Liverpool. Where as I expect City vs Chelsea to be an highly entertaining match but City edging out 4-2 winner in the end.
And mostly I wont be able to watch any of these games and will bank on GL to provide me with necessary updates.
