2019/2020 Premier League Discussion: Chapter III

Consistent so agree.
agree with what? he is onside
Shoulder arm pit offside, possible legal scoring body part. We've had that against us exactly the same so I agree.
On whole, I disagree with VAR implementation, It can be better but as long as it horribly implemented, I can only look at consistency as it affects all of us.

Other teams have declined so badly even Man Utd looks quite good this season. Shocking.

United have some fantastic counter attacking players. Their forwards are blessed with pace, power and technical ability so even if they are playing shit they can always score goals. Doesn't work when the opponent are tactically adaptable. For example the team goes to shit against a deep block but the other times it work well.

As much as Leicester has enjoyed themselves with VAR, I agree. I mean for the first time, I've seen a ref overturn a no-penalty for penalty for (I know for City against Wolves for me was the first time so maybe), I haven't seen enough of the PL for sure but that was the first time I've the ref being overruled.
Regardless, VAR has been implemented the way it was in the Women World Cup, those who have seen those matches, know it was shite. But the only hope is consistency or (inshallah) improvement.

Man united have really turned their season around after a poor start, but I want to see their 4-3-3 from the start of Ole’s tenure again. I realize that two holding midfielders and counter-attacking is probably their safest option right now, considering their midfield personnel, but it’s giving me cancer. Pogba out and a more consistent, creative midfielder in, and this would look like an actual, good side.

How have they turned their season when they just lost to last place Watford last week
the great thing is that the Ole support is so bizarrely massive and delusionally stubborn among supporters that he'll be allowed to waddle along with the club in midtable for easily another year or two
poor @Firenze will have to continue to suffer

Yeah, I don’t care for the Ole this, Ole that discussion on here. They’ve clearly improved their consistency over the course of the season, despite the young age of the team. They need a plan B to their counter-attacking football, and a few signings would make that possible. If they look like a mid-table team right now, I wonder what that makes Bayern.

Well, obviously you care for the "Ole this, Ole that" discussion, because you're discussing it, and because you're emotionally invested.
It's funny that I have been accused of 'bigging up any German manager' (which I'm clearly not) when I posted positive about Klopp, of all people, yet here you are desperately trying to spin positive the work of a Norwegian manager who's done nothing at all to deserve the job in the first place, and has further shown he's not up to it at all.

Re: 2019/2020 Premier League Discussion: Chapter III
Chelsea just sort of collapsed (as I expected, since their performances were not warranting the results they were getting) and we got a couple of shock (but deserved) wins against City and Spurs. Statistically there's no denying we've turned the season around, but performance wise, definitely not IMO. Watford was a few dys ago and illustrated the glaring flaws with tactics and players. Without Fred's turn around I have no doubt Ole would be gone already.
I'm going to stop calling for Ole Out this season becuase I believe he's there until the summer regardless now. Outside of the top 3, the league as a whole is so pathetically average that a couple of wins and you're back in contention for fourth place. So I don't even see Ole being sacked one it becomes mathmatically impossible to finish 4th (if it ever does, I fancy our chances to nick CL spots, because Chelsea are shit, Spurs and shit and Arsenal well.... ) since if that comes it'll be late in the season and he's a club legend. I still want him out in the summer even if we finish fourth.

Solskjaer should not be confirmed even if he wins Europa League imo
No competitive future under him, legit only for a temporary situation but perhaps it Is even lasted too much

I may have mentioned his name when referring to the 4-3-3 he used back in december of last year, but you’re the one who insists on him being the topic of the discussion. I’m talking about the club and it’s current generation of players. As much as I think Firenze’s customary «Ole out» is a pointless gimmick that stopped being funny a long time ago, whether or not Ole’s part of the club doesn’t change the fact that I’ll be watching the majority of their matches with my friends, like I have been for the past 15+ years. I can’t help that you assume my every comment on Man United is somehow a subtle reference to Ole, apart from when it’s negative.
I’ve definitely called you out on your consistently poor/shallow analytical ability and failed hypejobs, but I don’t recall ever claiming you have a german bias before. That said, when you fish for Klopp’s praise as frequently as you do, I see it as quite hypocritical for you to claim that I’m desperately trying to give a positive spin to Ole’s work. I’m pretty sure you mention both him and Klopp far more frequently than I do. It’s not like Bayern Munich is taking up a lot of your time, these days.
Unlike you, I don’t necessarily think the productiveness of a team always has to be traced back to the work of the manager. It’s not a coincidence that the best teams have the best players, regardless of who their manager may be. I mean, props to you for your unwavering support of Klopp, even when he placed 8th in the league, but your tone was definitely a lot more Firenze-style, half-ironic then, than it is now that you can confidently and opportunistically fish for other people to praise him. If that’s not bias, I don’t know what you would call it. For what it’s worth, I’m happy to see Klopp doing well, if only to serve as an exceptional prediction of yours, that didn’t actually turn to shit for once

Its clear Ole isn't good enough for the job, a proper manager should be hired at the end of the season.

Bayern isn't taking up much of my time on this forum, because there's absolutely noone here who posts or cares about Bayern apart from me. 98% of stuff posted about Bayern is posted by me, the only replies are either short, casual and reflexive disses by people who don't care or watch whatsoever (which is fair enough), or somewhat more involved short and resignative disses by the 2-3 people who follow other Bundesliga teams and don't post all too often (which is more than fair enough too).
I'm not going to start conversing with myself even more
I enjoy talking about the rest of the football world with you guys, so there's that.
