I thought this was obvious by now, but the persistent problem with him is how injury prone he is, not how able he is. He'll probably get himself injured by the end of the month.

Look at the bright side: the shape looks good and the ship is steady.

The bright side is that we didn't spend 200m+ on Man United's most talented, but least reliable player. The not so bright side is that we didn't get a midfielder at all, and Vasquez is still a starter. And we're still relying on players who are in their 30s. Transitional season mkII.

I wanted Zidane to get his man, and i think he would have succeeded for us playing in Modric's role but god he looks dogshit for united. PLaying him in a double pivot looks less and less viable.

Hopefully next summer we go for Kante

On-topic Eibar were well and truly robbed and not just due to their dominance against Atletico in Madrid but the refereeing decisions. Becoming rather typical of Eibar to be on the bad end of such decisions.

I want to believe the superior quality of La Liga has been the reason behind Madrid and Barça's slow and bumpy start to the season.

But it has more to do with the fact that both teams have been shit. City and Liverpool would both have got 9 points so far.

Real is in a better prospect than Barca atm imo, Zidane knows his stuff more at least despite sticking too much with the old guard, but I like how he produces a good mix of everything in the football the team plays, not the best, but effective. Thats better than the stuff we often see from Valverde atm.

Real are loaded up front now that Bale is back it seems? Hes always a top performer when he is in form, one of the best players in the world. Then they got Hazard, Vinicus, Jovic, Benzema, Asensio. Whereas we got Messi, aging Suarez, Grizemann, Dembele who keeps getting injured too often, Perez, Rafinha, and a 16yo

Never been a huge fan of Marcelino. He is a very negative coach with more emphasis on not conceding than scoring or playing attractive football. But this news comes as a shock because he was doing quite well with Los Che, having lead them to Champions League and winning Copa del Rey by demolishing Barcelona in the final.

Must be a political decision, rather than a sporting one.
