On a serious note, Maguire is better than all our center backs and will be an improvement. But that's got more to do with how shitty our CBs are really.  
Anyway if this indeed goes through, hope we sell Bailly and Rojo asap for 30 mil or sort, so that firstly the 'net' value will make for a slightly less embarrassing reading and secondly Tuanzebe wont look for a transfer.

@Glory I don't think he's on a level above Lindelof, he's about that tier. Better than the rest, but not by a massive amount. Not 80M worth. I'm pissed off. You don't spend that money on a marginal upgrade.

I think he is better than Lindelof. May be not by much, but still better. He is one of those players I have a feeling will improve once they get into a better team. No nonsense and consistent.

But as you said, he is no way in hell worth anywhere near such obscene money. I am legit depressed too. But at this point, I am just... you know...  desperately clutching at straws. Our transfer business is rotten. We could have gotten a better player for lesser money. But we wont. Instead its Harry Maguire. I am prepping myself to live with that.

Since Sir Alex left, from managers hired to players signed, it seems most decisions took by Man Utd's board was influenced and approved by some rival fan who wants to sabotage the club.

As of now, they are run by amateurs, and slowly but surely they are downgrading to a top 10 club not top 5. Man Utd is lucky to have so much money, hire comptent people and within 2 years they can get back on top. And neutrals like me would cheer for that.

Maguire isn't a bad CB at all and the fee - if the deal happens - is kinda irrelevant. He might not drastically improve United, but any little helps in this market where world-class players are hard to find.

Fees are irrelevant, market inflation is so ridiculous that the prices don't matter anymore. There is no more quality = price standard.
