Jose Antonio Reyes has passed away

just unbelievable. He was one of my favorite players as a little kid watching Madrid. He wasn't there for long but I loved his style and grace. RIP

This destroys me.
One of my favourite Arsenal players growing up, and one of my favourite players to watch at Sevilla. I even wrote an article on the man, I liked him so much.
RIP.

Re: Jose Antonio Reyes has passed away
I was a fan of him and his playing style. He was a fighter on the field. Rest in peace.
Re: Jose Antonio Reyes has passed away
The excitement when he signed for Arsenal was huge. Record signing at the time.
His goals against Portsmouth and Fulham late in the 03/04 season when the team played badly were big reasons they went the whole season unbeaten. Then he scored one of my favourite goals the following season.
Helped Madrid to a league title.

Re: Jose Antonio Reyes has passed away
He was such a delightful footballer when he was at Sevilla and his early Arsenal life. One of those footballers, when he is on form, is worth the price of the ticket you paid or the stream you set up. This is honestly quite saddening to read. If Sevilla could hoist a flag at half mast, they would for one of their finest ever footballers to be produced.

Crazy how your life can be over just like that. Guy was only 7 years older than me, remember watching him as a kid and thinking he was a terrific player. RIP.

That Is shocking
He gave me one of the greatest disappointments, scoring 1-0 in that European Supercup 2010 (final 2-0)

RIP Reyes. His career didn't end that well at Arsenal, but he had a few great moments with us.

Since it's a car accident, would be interesting to know if it was his fault or not and were there more victims. Didn't see any details.

RIP
35 years is way too young to die
On the day of CL final hosted by his former club. I hope the persons in charge of the Metropolitano stadium will have enough time to organize some sort of tribute for him.

Re: Jose Antonio Reyes has passed away
Absolutely awful
Football deaths really affect you when you have some fond memories of a player that played for your club.
Feels like yesterday when he made his debut against City and everyone was so excited. Was a big money transfer. Gave us some amazing moments too.
Everything in football feels so trivial compared to an incident like this.
RIP Reyes.

Re: Jose Antonio Reyes has passed away
rest in peace to Reyes as well as the other victims if there where any. don't know the full details. and peace to their families
i remember we played sevilla away in the 03/04 season and we where on such an amazing run, and then they beat us 4-1. reyes didn't score , i don't think he even had a direct assist, but he was outstanding, probably the best on the pitch. and nutmegged figo at least 2 or 3 times. arsenal started moves to sign him thanks in large part to that game. i think it might also have been the first tme we lost to sevilla since maradona played for them

He did an interview a year ago and talked about his passion for sports cars. He had 10 or 11 cars at that time.

Why does it matter?
End result is still the same.

Was told he was doing 120MPH in a 70 speed limit area
no sympathy for him
also killed his cousin with his reckless driving

Same here, I don't feel sorry for reckless drivers. Too bad that he killed two others with his stupidity, though.

Are you 28? I thought you were, like, 22 Reyes was a bit of a cynic, but he was a joy to watch when he played well. He caused all kinds of problems for us when he was in form for Sevilla, and I fondly remember watching him play for Arsenal when I was a kid.
