Salah just performed way above his level. He has returned to normal now which is still very good. I mean he has 2nd most goals in the PL.

Dream about what lol, this is Klopp's 11 not even 'team/squad' that has been overachieving and doesn't deserve to win anything.

How am I supposed to tell my kids that Salah got into this position and the wind blew the ball into Pickfords hands? pic.twitter.com/BcBrbDFX9K

I mean its unbelievable we are competing a team that has scored 50 more goals more than us and we are still getting slaughtered while putting our feet along with them at the same time. Crazy, this world actually deserves Oil and saudi money where people buy the leagues.
Next time I see anyone calling out City who isn't a LFC fan, y'all are fucking hypocrites imo, either challenge or suck it up imo

Not as big and unbearable as the thought of pool fans rubbing it in, really. For the time being, we are willing to give Citeh and all their evils a pass.
And Nish, my brother seriously how can you act as if you guys are the new Leicester and deserve sympathy from everyone else?
You bought the most expensive defender and most expensive keeper (until Kepa) in VVD and Allison ffs. Then you spent 60+ for Keita. Agreed you don’t have as good a squad as City’s, but who has?
And ‘the not having backup’ to compete on more fronts excuse is also very bs. You had Ings who is a better striker than both Origi and Sturridge and you guys sold him. You had Clyne as a decent backup for RB, and you sent him away as well.
To make matters easy for you, you deliberately exited from two cup competitions, in which City are still playing. Your manager is blaming wind, fking WIND after failing to beat a piss poor Everton and United’s reserves.
Anyway, agreed it’s somewhat a big thing that he is making you do really well in the league. Deserves credit, no doubt. But please don’t act as if what is he is doing with the squad is a miracle, because its not.

Exactly, unbelievable how we are still in it.

The two wouldn't have made any difference, lets not kid ourselves here. Insert Klopp stubborness as well, had the entire Jan to sign a new fullback.

Come back to the squad issue and insert Klopp stubborness.

It could have been a miracle, now its back to playing above an expected level. We will overachieve if we finish in the top 2 and reach CL semi finals at the very least. People can't berate every player and then say the team is doing well
Its obvious we've shot ourselves in the foot, but wasn't it expected by everyone on this forum? That's because we were overachieving and Klopp is turning this team slowly into a power. He could have done it faster but I've seen my team almost go into administration with a Spearing-Poulsen pivot spearheaded by Ngog unleashed by the crosses of Paul Konchesky so everything seems like a huge achievement for me.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
It's not overachieving to me, because I predicted Liverpool would challenge City before the season started.
It's just funny how Liverpool's struggles at the moment are to do with their attack while their defending, that thing everyone thought was Klopp's and Liverpool's weakness, has been outstanding all season long. The two aren't unrelated, of course. Apart from the injection of quality from Allison and Van Dijk, Liverpool's overall approach this season has been more conservative, which has placed greater emphasis on the individual quality of the front three to unlock teams.
Salah has suffered the most from it, especially in the big matches. I recall that last season, Liverpool's high block and pressing forced more turnovers in the oppositions half, so it was easier for Salah (and Mane on the other side) to get 1v1 with the opposition full back or centre back (if the full back has been caught up the pitch). Then it was a simple case of him opening up a shooting angle with his pace and skill. I could be wrong, but it seems Liverpool have been winning the ball in deeper positions this season, so getting those 1v1s hasn't been as easy.
Having said all that, most of these problems have come in two tough away games to United and Everton, which so happened to arrive when Liverpool's attackers aren't in top form. The gap is only one point at this stage, so I don't think Liverpool have squandered the league yet at all.

Chelsea "astonished" that their transfer ban hasn't been suspended during the appeal process:

Seems like FIFA are trying to set a new precedent and Chelsea are the unlucky first to experience it.

UTD UNSCRIPTED: IN THE EYE OF THE HURRICANE, by Darren Fletcher
Good read.
I really miss those days.

Darren Fletcher wrote:We never had to switch it on for a game. That was a big thing at United. There was never a case of taking it easy in training, then turning it on in the game. We just went into the games and did the exact same thing. It wasn’t a case of switching it on for the games because we were never switched off.
We trained at 100 miles per hour. We were at it. Your shins were cut, your ankles were cut pretty much every day in training. Scholesy, Keaney, Butty… we were all the same, and you got used to that being the norm. Nobody was rolling about or anything like that. You never wore shinpads in training and your ankles and shins were cut to bits. Everybody’s were. That’s the culture we were in. If the other lads were coming in and icing it, seeing the doctor every day, you’d start acting like that. Our environment was different. You never went to the physio unless your leg was hanging off.

Soton completely dominating Spurs in the 2nd half. It’s 2-1. Prowse scored from a free kick again. Go Saints!

Newcastle coming from 2-0 down to make it 2-2 v Everton. Seems like Everton only try against Liverpool

Even after that nonsense, Chelsea could go 3rd in the table if they win their 2 games in hand and Man Utd/Arsenal draw
Crazy fight for those two CL spots.

We dominated the whole game, the only reason they were 2-0 up to begin with because when Pickford rugby tackled Rondon at 1-0 the ref didn't send him off and we missed the penalty.
They proceeded to go down the other end to score, what they deserved tbh so it's good we came back tbh.
