Sigh, Lope and me had the same look when that goal went in. Unlike me though, Lope would probably lose his job soon. What was Conetois doing is beyond me. What was any defender doing for that corner is beyond me. Madrid are in crisis mode and it's gonna be fun reading all the comments on Madrid forums.

in this form, i can't see how we get a point against barca, this is just terrible. The team looks like they dont have any idea what to do with the ballor how to create chances, no one is running, it's all lethargic and disappointing.

From the players, no one is stepping up. not modric, not kroos, not bale, not benzema. Asensio is average when he can't unleash his shot...

We need attackers and the club goes out to buy this buffoon of a goalkeeper

Asensio not even good enough to be a super sub.

The international came at a perfect time for us because we'd lose the title in October otherwise

i'm still waiting to see the so called tactics lope is supposed to impliment, that fans have been going on about. he is in a tough situation now, because if he indeed had ideas, it seems he doesn't have the players to impliment them.....and it seems he never asked for such players. this is going to be a long season..

Problem is we're not creating chances. Last year, our strikers got a ton of chances but just couldn't hit the side of a barn. This year, i can't say we've been wasteful because there isn't anything to waste!

Wish it wouldn't. He talks the talk but he is far from good enough for our team. No mans land yet again. Rubbish keeper that we didn't need. As the goals continue to trickle in at a faster rate, the goals have dried up quite considerably. 2+2

I mean, the fk is happening? Nick is right, no one is stepping up at all. We can't create and if not for Varane, we ain't too good at defending. Would firing Lope really solve anything?

I don't know. Against Sevilla we had plenty of chances. Atletico could've been finished off easily as well.

These past games against CSKA and Alaves though. Never dangerous and there isn't a single offensive player doing anything.

Kroos might be the most lazy player when things aren't going according to plan. It's awful to watch.

We can't create.

yeah running behind defenders and having a killer CF is important but even if you put Nistelrooy there he can't score without being served.

I personally never rated him and like to bad mouth every chance I get so I'm very bias against him. However, for that corner, he was in no man's land. Not sure what he was trying to do. Not really his fault we had such a bad result though, Lope and our mids and attackers take up the majority of the blame.

We have problem against teams who sit deep.
we have problem against teams who press our midfield.
we have problem against teams who press high.

you didn't miss anything, just people passing the ball, nothing to see there really. newsflash to all , 'good football' is not limited to passing the ball alone, there are other things you can develop to be effective and entertaining than just passing

I an convinced that what this team needs is a man manager. Not tactician. No tactician has survived the hot seat they have all been sacked. Two our most successful ones have been poor tacticians but great in the dressing room. We need a big personality, somebody who's been there and done it. We are playing worse now than we did last season and Lope has merely been with us for 3 months

that's the thing, i dont know if there is a fix. If you fire lopetegui there is no magical coach that comes in and fixes everything. Maybe it will come down to renewing the entire team with new players.

This group won so much but now i feels like they dont want to try as hard. they were acting the same last season to be honest.

Modric, Kroos and Casemiro are so lethargic in midfield it's infuriating. No one is accelerating the game. football go in cycle, maybe it's easier to accept the down cycle and wait a bit for a new team to form.

@hala, whilst i agree with your point, and whilst i've always maintained that stance (since we hired rafa, so its not hindsight), this isn't an issue of man managing, the team was on its last legs even with cristiano, i don't care what players attend some football gala, the team needs reshuffling and not reshuffling with a bunch of kids still in diapers. we need some stars, some footballers with personality and some minor back ups. its now an issue of personnel
