It just seems like Asensio think it's a good opportunity to pass the ball, when it would be better to shoot, and when he has a great opportunity to pass it to a team mate in a better position, he opts for some shitty solo run instead. It's forgivable when it happens occasionally, but it's becoming more and more evident how sub-par his decision-making is. I really hope that's something he'll develop in the near future.

This inability to capitalize on your direct rival's slip-ups doesn't bode well for a team looking to win the league.

We controlled the game during most of the second half, but control without goals is worthless.

Once again we're unable to win against a top dog. Too early to jump to conclusions but it's definitely a warning sign.

I'm not at all satisfied with our attack. Very weak and lethargic, and we all know why.

Ceballos was great and Mariano shouldve replaced Benz

I told ya all last year itself.

Kid is a baller. He could alter the game really well. Adds nice defensive shift too.

Mariano should play every game at this point. He's probably our only finisher on the entire team.

Also... That Casemiro free kick is still a mystery to me... Coming right after he skied over a huge chance from the edge of the box also.

I'm pretty sure even Guardiola would struggle unlocking defenses with Benzema and Asensio.

I'm still not putting my entire blame on him because when I look at the strikers he has been given, I frankly sympathize with him a little bit.

If you want to blame someone, blame the one sitting in the presidential booth.

Not having a threatening CF is hampering us a lot so we don't have a single presence in the box that can actually benefit from the actual nice attacking phases we have. Benzema is not a CF and he is back to his numpty best.

Then there is my beef with Asensio, he is way too casual with his finishing for Madrid. For Spain, he would have rattled that with his left foot instead of waiting for it to go to his right for whatever reason. Another chance he had to win it.

Also, Ceballos is bae.

Asensio would be so incredible if he was 5% faster in recognizing stuff.

He always waits too long before passing. Could've finished off the game at multiple points.

Positive from this game is that we completely dominated Atletico once Ceballos came on.

Yeah. Gimenez looks incredible the few times I've seen him the past years. The way he effortlessly ran up to Asensio late game was great (Asensio might be too tired from basically playing every minute this season, but still great job from Gimenez).
