Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part II
I think Brighton were a bit unlucky not take away anything.
Another clean sheet
Top of the table
Enjoy till it lasts.
Btw either we were terrible or Brighton were well prepared and extremely well organised .

Bit of both imo. Liverpool weren't at their best and Brighton defended well. The game was settled by one mistake from Brighton's midfield.
One of my pre-season predictions was that Liverpool would struggle in games like this, in as much that they won't always blow teams away. We'll see if it continues.

2nd half was really dire. Klopp needs to start making those substitutions earlier. That header in 88th minute I'm sure we would concede last season, now I know how MU fans feel when their GK brings them points.
Gini Wijnaldum absolute MOTM today. Unbelievable performance. 99% pass completion according to WhoScored.

Its impossible that a squad will sustain this level of energy in every match.
Look at our bench last year and look now. We've improved by leaps.
It was big games that we struggled in last year so this period is vital.

He is playing as a DM, I don't know what do you expect him to do. He is the most press resilient player we have, he can keep the ball under pressure in almost any situation and keep it flowing through the field, that's his job. He had some really good tackles as well, he completed 4/5 tackles today - the most for Liverpool. His problem was inconsistency but this season he was great in all games so far. Only Gini and Milner turned up for full 90 minutes today, the rest of the team were meh especially in 2nd half. Yeah probably Milner deserved MOTM today, but Gini was great too.

We'll find out plenty about their title credentials.

Watford with two remarkable goals to lead 2-0 vs Palace. Palace have sucked hard, but Watford should have been down to 10 men in the first half.
Else where, Everton's Michael Keane will be out for a month with a hairline skull fracture.

Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha is good enough to play for Real Madrid, according to three-time European Cup winner Graeme Souness.
