Gerrard May Have to Retire
Not in training, no update on his injury by the club, now voices coming out that the reason for all those CM buys was that the management have realized his groin injury is still there despite 6 month lay off, and at best he'll be able to play 20 games a season.....
He was supposed to be back by July 4 for first training session, then it was postponed, then he didn't go to Asia, and now that the team is back, he still isn't training ......and club have been very quite on his injury for like 2 weeks.
Tony Barret and his best mate (Paul Grat) have rubbished the retirement rumours on their twitters, but with all the silence and shedload of ITKs saying that (90% of ITKs are rubbish, but there are so many rumours), I suppose he'll be able to play 20 game in a full season at best. Probably explain all the CM buys.
Hope we'll use him as a super sub...like the game vs Napoli.
Really sad if those rumours are indeed true...His groin isn't responding to treatments

it's just like a rosicky lay off, i bet he will come back, but it will be later and he won't have as much quality

Doesn't matter if he only plays 20 games. Just having him on the bench automatically makes the team better.
When in trouble, sub him in and finish of the game

Re: Gerrard May Have to Retire
I had a feeling that this may be the case. Obviously it could just be a rumour, but as Gerard is prone to groin injuries, Adams and Henderson signings makes sense.

What does "ITK's" mean ?
And wow, a sad loss, even if he is a Scouser.
Best of luck to him.

ITK?
In The Know, supposedly someone who has valuable/secret information about a club.
Hint: most of them are attention seeking whores, they lie big time.

There is probably truth in the fact that his groin injuries are reason for concern. I doubt it's bad enough for him to retire though.

@JuvenelCuore
ITK means In the know.
Some rubbish people on twitter claiming to be in the know about things happening in the club and try to pretend to give inside info about transfer dealings.
They are all just attention seeking people and just spout rubbish.

Retirement sounds too dramatic, dont believe in it. But if he's still not training, that's somewhat worrying because there's only about 3 weeks until the season starts.

He'll be fine. There is no ITK's right now that's reliable. Even the Liverpool Echo is guessing. Half the tabloids get their transfer rumours from RAWK. /facepalm

He isn't training with the squad because he is undergoing rehabilitation after surgery just like Reina.
Both Gerrard and Kenny have confirmed he will be fit for the season perhaps will miss for the first couple of matches i would suspect at most.

Re: Gerrard May Have to Retire
Ugh...Been depressed since early morning after reading the update which sounds horribly suspicious, having a hangover hasn't helped either.
All started when Capello kept him on vs France for 80 minutes..the c*nt

What's suspicious about an infection? It happens after surgery quite often. Why do people feel the need to be so melodramatic all the time?

Re: Gerrard May Have to Retire
I'm doubting he will retire, but perhaps that is just me wanting to doubt the news.
Hope Mole's BS senses are right and that this is just some paper talk trying to hook some Scouser readers in.
Would be sort of a sad end to such a player really.
