I read, on here I think, can't remember who wrote it, that there was a 99% chance that Mbappé would end up at Madrid last summer

lol that was probably gotten from one of the "reputable" spanish media outlets, who were even saying he'd be presented by the club at such and such time

He was going to sign... but then the Morata sale got delayed... and then PSG signed Neymar, which changed Mbappe's attitude towards them.

Only have ourselves to blame. We're too arrogant with our approach to elite talent. These guys aren't Spanish. Their attachment to their "childhood dream club" isn't very deep. They probably don't speak Spanish any better than they speak English either... so there isn't a language/cultural preference.
