Re: UCL R16 : Basel Vs Man City
Seems like Gods of football want Fraudiola to win CL. With one of PSG and Madrid to get eliminated, it is looking likelier than ever.
Re: UCL R16 : Basel Vs Man City
It would not happen but if by the miracle of miracles Basel win this, Pep should be fired immediately. I expect to see at least a 4 goal aggregate win from City.

I wouldn't be surprised if Basel at the very least draw at home, Pep teams are always shite away in CL.

He won all his away matches this season

Re: UCL R16 : Basel Vs Man City
He's ok with group stages. It's the KO stages were he suffers away the most.

Mind you, he got Monaco last season and still got beaten.
Then he went on and bought half their team

Well, let's hope Man City's 2018/19 squad will contain a few FC Basel players

The real play by the gods of football is the matchup between spurs (last team to beat them at manchester iirc) and EuroMax

FC Basel XI: Vaclík, Lacroix, Xhaka, Suchý (C), Lang, Riveros, Dié, Frei, Stocker, Elyounoussi, Oberlin
City XI: Ederson, Walker, Kompany (C), Otamendi, Delph, Fernandinho, Gündogan, De Bruyne, Sterling, Bernardo, Agüero
Subs: Bravo, Danilo, Stones, Laporte, Sané, David Silva, Foden
Kompany instead of Stone or Laporte

Delphinho, Silva, and Sane back. Should have a everyone healthy against Arsenal in LC Final

I predicted Basel - Man City 0-2 tonight, Man City to go through comfortably of course.

Yes. The last time Pep won a CL away game was in 13-14 season against Arsenal, since then he's 0-4-5

This is also against teams like Monaco, Shakhtar, Benfica and Porto.

Even Arsenal managed to beat this version of Basel, and they both have one Xhaka

Re: UCL R16 : Basel Vs Man City
Just saw those highlights.
Actually, Basel were robbed a stonewall penalty at 0-0, then their GK made two terrible mistakes for 2 goals while Ederson got away with some ridiculous stuff without the Basel strikers able to punish them.
Basel had loads of chances themselves, basically City were lucky to win this.
Gündogan should have been sent off too.
Personally, I think City have paid UEFA. I wouldn't put it past a club that pays 150m € for fullbacks to throw in a couple of millions for favourable UCL refereeing
Disgusting.

I mean they won 4-0, I really don't see the point in complaining at what could have been.

You watched a bit of City, good for you, I know it'll be the best football you've seen in nearly 2 years.

Bah god, another record smashed by Pep
Biggest win away from home by an English club in the knock out stages of the Champions League.
Is there any end to this man's genius?

Let's not let spurs getting back from a 2 to 0 result deter us from the real miracle today :Pep won a CL away match
