What was your club's "banter era" and what were the worst/funniest moments?

Chased Luis Suarez, Higuain, Benzema all summer, only to end up with Sanogo. Leicester City went on to win the league.

i don't think he chased suarez nor benzema. benzema has always been linked to arsenal, its a convenient rumor but we never received a bid. and they only approached suarez once with that foolish 40 million plus one bid (which tells me he was hardly interested in signing suarez, and just wanted to get on liverpool's nerves).

When Juventus was linked with every player in Europe and signed none of them- can't find this pic anymore if anyone has it

2009-2011 was our prime banter era. Players like Melo, Diego, Amauri, Molinaro, Grygera, Legrottaglie, Momo Sissoko, Krasic etc. not just in the squad but mostly starting players too

We chased Griezmann during 2014 summer (his autobiogrpahy). He was excited to join us because of Arsene. Asked his agent to keep him informed of our bids.

We never bid.

Arsene told his agent to wait.

Nothing

Then we signed Sanogo

A fantastic piece of banter (even if different versions disagree), Fiorentina's version: they agreed everything with United and Berbatov to sign him, sent contracts, paid an initial fee and everything, Fiore got him the tickets and Berbatov got on a plane to Italy to complete the signing, never arrived in Florence... Juve had caught notice of his move and contacted him prompting him to snub Fiore. Juve and Berbatov very briefly talked, didn't agree on terms and very quickly they ended contact and Berbatov joined Fulham.

Prime banter from Marotta if true. Fiore, pissed, released an official statement blaming Berbatov and 'clubs' (Juve).

Juve have some great banterous moments.
