2017 / 2018 squad confirmed, includes Majoral

After yesterday's game, club has confirmed squad for this season. Achraf confirmed and surprisingly Majoral. This kid regressed badly last year due to not playing sufficiently so why would he do any better sitting on the bench here??? He had had a very good progression for 4 or 5 years and there is no other reason for his very noticeable regression other than the limited playing time he had in Germany. Anyway such is life. It doesn't seem as if Mariano has suffered playing the same bench warming role last year.
As it stands with Isco and Asensio going to play a lot this year, the forward line will be only two most of the time meaning Majoral will be behind Asensio, Isco, Bale, Benz and Lucas for playing time!

As a side note, they are listing Luca as practice portero (3rd) for 1st team, but also as portero at Castilla. Looks like they may be returning to that model rather than have a portero that only practices with team and gets maybe 30 -45 minutes game time / season. good move!

Good for Achraf for making the 1st team, him and his family must be hella proud. Hope he does well.

Luca Zidane is a scrub he doesn't matter

Actually, Luca Zidane is extremely promising imo.

He makes so many mistakes lol he just isn't good. I have seen his blunders with castilla and it's not getting better, even vs Fiorentina he came on and made mistakes lol

No man. He's really really good. Looks like a Barthez clone to me at the same age. Hopefully, he follows the same path.

He just has a lot of skills other than keeping... and he needs to understand that he's a keeper first.

Luca is too overconfident. He plays with alot of arrogance. He is good on his feet but makes too many blunders as a keeper. As a third keeper he is alright but Pachecho was the best GK we produced since Iker and we have sold him outright. Luca won't make it ar our club

Yesterday he came on, missed a high ball coming off his line then won an areal challenge and dropped the ball on the ground lmao. I have seen plenty more blunders with castilla. No need to try to convince me, he needs to play better he is just not very good right now even for castilla

The most interesting part of all this is... in an era where everyone else, including Barca, are going the galactico route and spending major coin on both proven and highly hyped young players... Real Madrid has gone the opposite route.
