Assuming they sign Conti (ffs :facepalm:

) and a good goalscorer (even Kalinic would be fine), the team would be very solid, but I'm not seeing a lot of creativity.

The only midfielder who can create much with passing would be Bonaventura who is coming from a season ending injury. Keita is not this. While the fullbacks could offer great support on the flanks, specially Conti, you still need some central play imo.

The agent of Conti says that him and Milan closed the deal, that on their part everything is good and Conti wants to join them. Now its up to Milan to make a deal with Atalanta, who don't want to lose Conti so they are asking for a high price.

We are nice and left Caldara and Spinazzola both loaned back at Atalanta, while Milanese clubs just weaken the opposition. Don't wanna hear anything about Juve weakening the league again :coffee:

not a great fan of Conti tbh
His numbers are relevant, but basically he never played as fullback this year. In fact I'm always skeptical on signings fullbacks under Gasperini . At least on that price.

For the rest they are making a rational mercato, not duplicate players but all roles needed ( while we overpaid Joao Mario when we don't play even with mezz ala )so the team is surely improved.

I am going to be worry if they increase also the quality , I rate Keita for example.
It'd be better if he signs with Juve.
Not a CL profile , not a Douglas Costa player ( that is what Juve needs ) not so determinant for them , while he s probably the best winger that Milan can get.

Its 60-70 m spent out of 150 announced, because Keita's a loan with obligation to buy in 2 years. Plus, we are selling fodder which will raise additional 25-50 m

I think we can expect 3-4 players more (Forsberg, Biglia, Conti, somebody else).

This team will have depth problems playing on all fronts. We are 2+ mercatos away from reaching Juve's strength

If this year Milan gets to the podium, they will play Champions League next year and this will attract world class players. Because of the hype of course, and also because of the club's prestige.

For the moment you are kinda stuck to buying tier 2 players. If things turn out well some players from this year's massive purchase will overachieve and become part of the new core of Milan, the one that will be complete once CL is reached.

Krychowiak is underrated, was given zero chance at PSG.

Fassone said that after 1 more signing (Conti) they will stop and focus on departures. Then look at the budget afterwards.

Not yet, But this team has to finish in the top 3 this season or else its another 3-4 years of mediocrity for Milan.

These midfielders are going bro, Kucka already going to Trabzonspor, Poli to Bologna, Bertolacci to Genoa, check Sky. Sosa we are trying to offload but he doesn't want to go, Mati and onda contract finished.

They probably won't make top 3. Top 4 is the objective (CL).

Juve and Napoli are firmly top 2 in terms of squad and team dynamics.

For Roma we have to wait and see how they end up and what EDF can do, but they will probably be top 4 at least. Inter finally has a great manager, if they give him a few signings to make things look like he wants to, then also them. Not sure that Milan has built a better squad than Inter.

MDS wants to come home to Juve.

Niang is and has always been a scrub.

Poli was rated as youngster but he didn't deliver once he moved to Milan. His name and long hair wasn't enough to make everyone keep thinking that he is like Pirlo.
