Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 33 - WM 33 Edition
Source: Wrestling Observer
"Braun Strowman is scheduled to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship in either June or July, according to a report by the Wrestling Observer newsletter.
WWE is extremely high on Strowman at the moment with him involved in Monday's big Raw angle when he attacked Roman Reigns and sent him to the hospital, although the goal was to put him over as a heel he may well have come out of it a babyface.
The report goes on to note that Strowman already lost a match to Roman Reigns at the Fastlane so this could mean that he will defeat Reigns at the Payback event before his feud with Lesnar."

Speaking of David Otunga though, i realised last week that Byron Saxton is MUCH better than him.
Used to think they are both token Black dudes but Otunga is the worst ffs. Unreal that he and Heath Slater are only members of the Nexus who are left

Why does this strike even exist lol? All this strong style stuff needs to go imo. Everybody know's it's fake, if people want a real fight UFC exists. Fake punches >>>

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 33 - WM 33 Edition
There's nothing wrong with it mostly IMO, just people need to know how to do it safely. (most of the people who work stiff in the company i'd argue are safe)
Obviously Jinder Mahal doesn't fall into that category though I'm pretty sure he hurt Reigns as well lol.
Push him imo.

You could tell the minute it happened, he collapsed like a sack of potatoes lol.
How am i supposed to take him seriously if he can't take a punch from "Hardbody" Mahal though
The Big Dawg wouldn't get concussed imo /Vince.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 33 - WM 33 Edition
Does WWE even vet half of these guys working? I wonder just how many were brought in because of connections or 'the look' rather than competency. I mean injuries have become a commonplace in the company, compare it to NJPW where the stunts and the restrictions are limitless, its insane, you expect them to get injured every other day

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 33 - WM 33 Edition
Mahal was in WWE before so they probably do with him too.
I just feel like of the people that hit hard ( or look like they do) most of them know how to do it without genuinely hurting someone.
Which is why most of the injuries that happen seemingly are not really due to elbows or punches but botched moves like the Seth and Balor one at Summerslam.
That seems more common place than someone concussing someone with an elbow.

They'd probably need a separate video for Reigns. 'Top 10 hostile Roman Reigns reactions'.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 33 - WM 33 Edition
Didn't know Sheamus was a workrate fan.
"The level of athleticism has evolved so much since we watched as kids. The athletes that WWE has now are far far superior to anything that we had the late 1980s or the late 1990s. We're on entirely another level now. You look back at the Attitude Era and the level of entertainment we put in the ring now. The Attitude Era doesn't even come close. We are superior. No question. I'm not afraid to say that either. You can watch some of the stuff Cesaro does in the ring; with his size, the way he moves around the ring, the moves he hits, the way he picks up guys twice his size. It's just a different level. Guys back in the 80s moved like slugs."

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 33 - WM 33 Edition
I mean he's right tbh, doesn't mean anything either way though. (except the entertainment part as I flat out disagree with that, Attitude and Ruthless aggression era had more entertaining characters and storylines)
Nothing wrong with it, I couldn't watch 80s wrestling because of how boring the in ring stuff was.
90s picked up the pace while having storylines and characters to go with it.
Although I don't really take anything from it, active guys are going to defend the product that's pretty natural stuff.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 33 - WM 33 Edition
Commentators mostly suck ass, one small positive about booker T is I laugh every time he says Business because he emphasises the *bleep* out of an invisible 'h' at the end of it and it's GOAT. Apart from that he's shit, and the rest of them suck because clearly they're told to sound like they're talking directly to children with their annoying high pitched crap and cringey as *bleep* sentences
Honestly get a panel of legit commentators, give them some freedom and they'd genuinely make every single segment on the show feel more important.
Corey Greaves or wtf you spell it is good, everybody else is trash with occasional moments of good. Sometimes the inner dickhead in JBL comes out and it's funny, but he's crap mostly. I blame vince above all though.
The way they lazily describe events and use shitty vocabulary just takes the energy out of segments.
Somebody comes back, chokeslams 18 people and sets the ref on fire
Cole "What's going on?"
Otunga "It's .... He's back. On RAW."
Cole "Somebody should... should do something about this"
Saxton "WOW this was unexpected" In his shitty voice.
Terrible stuff.

Agreed, the more his mind deteriorates the more the sexist perverted heel Jerry will slip out.
Give it 3 years max before he's shuffling in the ring half way through a divas match shouting puppies and trying to ass slap a diva on the floor.

Corey Graves is the only one who actually puts some personality and emotion into it now Mauro isn't there.
The rest sound like Vince controlled robots.
