Southampton vs. Liverpool
Match-day and yet no match-thread
Should be a strong line-up with only Matip and Henderson missing out due to injuries:

Very busy nowadays ffs
Agree with the team, Coutinho has traveled, let's see if he makes the bench. Also Karius will start this.

What a dross performance. Can and Lucas should be nowhere near the starting eleven.
Will start worrying if we mess up against United.

Re: Southampton vs. Liverpool
This was our worst performance that I can remember under Klopp since last season.
Even in other games where we failed to win or score (Soton, United) we were the better team and always had control.
Southampton could have been like 4-0 if Redmond could finish.

Re: Southampton vs. Liverpool
If the other games (of 2017) left any doubts, the home capitulation to a struggling Swansea confirmed that we are disintegrating (and no, it's not an over exaggeration). Blame it all you want on AFCON, FIFA or whatever, the problem lies with players at hand and the tactical astuteness of Klopp.
When we face Southampton in the return-leg of the League Cup semi-finals, we face an opponent not only holding an edge but also in a buoyant mood have come-off victorious in their last league game. To top it all, they will be stepping into an Anfield with diminished aura of invincibility.
But if I know anything about Klopp, I would say things are perfectly aligned for a 4-0 win. Yes, wehave been are that unpredictably inconsistent.
Here's few points I managed to peep from Klopp's notebook:
#1. Don't start with Emre
#2. Lallana has to be in midfield
#3. Either play Sturridge in the middle or don't play him at all
#4. Origi is nearest thing we have to emulate Mane role
Based on those, I'm expecting the following line-up

I think we can expect a full team for this one, We are one goal down and the next fixture is Wolves at Anfield before Chelsea.

Re: Southampton vs. Liverpool
I'd like to see this:
Tell Origi to play like a winger.
Clyne - Matip - Lovren - Milner
Henderson
Lallana - Wijnaldum
Origi - Firmino - Coutinho
Henderson
Lallana - Wijnaldum
Origi - Firmino - Coutinho

Re: Southampton vs. Liverpool
Must win game.
We absolutely need silverware this year.
Losing 2 finals from last season still hurts, and we haven't won a trophy since Kenny's carling cup. Must change this.
Have no doubts we'll bounce back after a very very VERY disappointing game against Swansea.

How exactly is he going to "play" like a winger if he's not even accomplished in his natural position?
He's hardly developed enough to play as a leading striker... he's perhaps a great impact player off the bench, but he still has a lot to prove.

Nathaniel Clyne was also absent from the photographs of the Reds' training session, just 48 hours before they meet the Saints at Anfield.

We look awful.
Don't deserve to be in the final.
The whole season is just falling apart
Lost the league this week and about to lose the COC.

Ifty out
Only positives that I can come out of this game was:
Woodburn has a brighter future than Origi at Liverpool.
