really poor display and the scoreline in my opinion could've been worse, there were a couple penalties that barca should've had and I cant even be biased. They deserved to beat psg
no. messi stays in the middle a lot more this season. long story. he is this quiet for a while now, without much space around him when the opposition get their positioning right. messi on the right side doesnt work anymore. no more alves link up. with suarez and messi in the middle and neymar and rafinha wide teams tend to open up a bit more for the midfield runs. messi just isnt looking for the pockets of spaces as he used to.
what do you mean he just played as a CAM for 2nd time all game today with last weekend being the first against Celta. And against Celta he was running all over the place. PSG clearly tried to take him out of the game, since if they doubled down on him they figured it would slow down him possibly running forward and creating chances. Idiots forget we got plenty of other guys on the team that can also do that.

'Everyone was watching and we could feel it, you know, and we were just excited because we won 4-0 so everyone was celebrating.
'Suddenly the ball was coming and it was a goal and it was no offside. We thought we were spectacular but these guys... sorry.'
Thomas Tuchel saw the Barcelona miracle in his office:

RMC wrote:PSG suffered the biggest disillusionment in its history this Wednesday on the lawn of Camp Nou. A 6-1 defeat, synonymous with elimination in the 8th final of the Champions League. And nightmares and nightmares. Leaving the lawn of the Camp Nou, the Parisian players join their locker room totally annihilated. The silence is deafening. No one looks at each other, no one talks. A player cracks and cries with tears. Ambiance of distress.
Unai Emery spoke a minute before his group, saying, in substance: "I can not find the words. We have failed in our mission. Now it's done. Nothing can be done ". Nasser Al-Khelaifi is also shocked by the match. Sounds like a boxer who does not understand what he's just happening. "I've never seen him like that. The face closed, the look in the void, "confides an intimate of the group. The Parisian president is very, very angry. He does not talk to any player. Patrick Kluivert, the football director, is trying to comfort some players but the pain is deep.
The Parisians take off from Barcelona at 2:30 in the morning. The atmosphere on the plane is horrible, detestable. Not a look, not a word, no exchange. The group seems dead, extinguished, in shock. According to a member of the delegation, accustomed to travel, "it is the worst ambience of post-match" that he saw. "Nothing to do with last year after the elimination against Manchester City," he said.
Thiago Silva stays up all night with his helmet on his ears. Only a few young players, such as Presnel Kimpembe, or Hatem Ben Arfa, will make the effort to go and comfort their often more experienced teammates. Some players discover the first declarations of the Barcelonans and the turns of the Spanish players on the social networks.
When arriving at Le Bourget around 4am, the players are shocked by the tense reception that a few Parisians support them. The car of Marquinhos will be degraded. Hatem Ben Arfa and Blaise Matuidi are insulted by the supporters. Only Edinson Cavani is not violently insulting. The exit of the car of Thiago Motta is done in a moment of small panic. This Thursday, it was rest for the whole group. Only Thomas Meunier and Gonçalo Guedes came to do some care.

"If we lose 5-1, do you think we would be happy?" asked Verratti."
No, I would be annoyed," replied Meunier.
"I would be happy," admitted Draxler.
"Yes... I would be happy," agreed Matuidi.
"If you lose 5-1 then people will mock us.""But it doesn't matter because we would have scored four in the first leg," Verratti debated.
"People talk and criticise them for being thrashed by PSG and we know they are a great team, but losing 5-1 to Barcelona? That's not good," concluded Meunier.
Utter clowns.

Re: UCL Last 16: PSG vs FC Barcelona
According to the Telegraph, the team hired other referees to review the game and they found eight specific errors, including one at the end of the game that saw Barcelona striker Luis Suarez earn a penalty. According to the complaint, outlined by Spain’s Marca newspaper, Suarez feigned the foul off PSG’s Marquinhos in the box.
Among the other complaints PSG reportedly outlined, one was the German referee’s apparent failure to call a handball on Barcelona’s Mascherano, as well as a foul from the Argentine on PSG’s Angel Di Maria, both of which would’ve led to PSG receiving penalties.
PSG also complained Aytekin failed to book Barcelona defender Gerard Pique for a second yellow card, late in the first half and then again in the second half, either of which would’ve sent him out of the game.
On the same note, the club also complained of the referee only booking Barca star Neymar for a yellow after he appeared to kick Marquinho from behind. PSG argued in the letter it should’ve been red, which would’ve sent off the 25-year-old Brazilian, who ended up playing a key role in Barcelona’s last three goals
