Niguez also has a big chance of winning cause the strike was brilliant especially as it was scored against buyern and in the CL.

On marlon, lol a scissor kick will never touch the award ordinarily as its difficult for bicycle kicks to win these kinds of awards (well, except you're ibra) as they aren't really unique, at least not anymore. The same reason rooney's effort against man city lost out to a Neymar Golazo in 2011!

Saúl Niguez' goal gets my #1 vote for being the most important/decisive one on the list, from what I can tell.

I bet many will disagree with me, but Mario Gaspar's goal gets my #2 vote, purely based on the difficulty of it's execution. It wasn't just an overhead kick, but he struck it high and just on the inside of the post. Against England, no less

3# In terms of freekicks, Mohd Faiz Subri's contribution may not have the pinpoint accuracy of Messi's freekick, but the bend and the goal in it's entirety is easier on the eye, in my opinion.

And the 2016 Puskas Random goal-award goes to?

Not any of the top 10 selected goals for this year really had me catching my breath. However, out of the ten I would have gone for Gaspar's goal. The level execution for that shot is the toughest to pull off, and he pulled it off knowing exactly what he wanted to do. And that is exactly why I don't fancy the other stylish goals as much such as Sabri's free-kick. I think his intention was just to hit it strong and see where the swerve takes it. He got lucky it swerved so much into the far top corner. I feel similarly toward the guy from the Swedish league. He just dived forward and threw his legs at the fast oncoming ball (very instinctive move on his part) and he was lucky he got good enough contact on it to fly past the goalie.

From the top 3, I voted for Daniuska Rodriquez.

I remember some great goals from Euro 16. How come none were on the top 10?
