Tbh it would be unfair on those fringe players if we suddenly change it over.

I rather see how Maitland-Niles, Perez, Jeff etc do against a better team like Southampton. If we go out then it's just the EFL cup.

Think Wenger will keep a few players like Gibbs, Martinez, and the CB partnership of Gabriel and Holding throughout the tournament if we go that far. And then maybe bring in a few first teamers in the semis and finals.

They can play vs Southampton but not in eventual semi or final against Liverpool or MU. Knowing Wenger stuborness he will play kids and lose just like in 2007 Carling Cup Final against Chelsea.
