Re: English Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 4
I have mentioned before how I think they'll struggle this season but that isn't the managers fault and they were unlucky against City and Liverpool imo.
They'll regret this imo.

It's probably not 100% Guidolin's fault, but Swansea have neglected their squad. They've shipped out more quality than they've brought in.

Yea agreed with Art. They have had the same average players for the last few years which needed to be shipped and replaced. But instead they sold the quality ones and didn't buy anyone better.

Funnily, they all started their career at Swansea really well. Only to falter later on when the new manager effect wore off.

Re: English Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 4
Swansea have had to play Leicester and Southampton away, and City, Chelsea and Liverpool all at home in their first six games. That's a very difficult start. They even played well in the games against the big teams.
So yeah, can't understand why Guidolin has been sacked so quickly. How many of those games were they realistically expected to win? The one game against Burnley that you would expect to win, they actually did.
They make some weird decisions. Laudrop delivered their best season ever and won them a trophy, but he was sacked because his second year wasn't as good. Monk recovered them but was sacked the moment they entered a run of poor form. Now Guidolin has barely had the chance to do anything and has lost his job because he couldn't beat some of the league's best teams. Not to mention the quailty of their squad has been declining.
I also fail to see how Bob Bradley is an improvement.
Modern football. Don't understand it sometimes.

Re: English Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 4
Swansea changed ownership last summer and obviously that can have an effect on the manager's position. I think that's what's happened here, the new American owners probably had visions of something else than Guidolin to begin with.
I reckon if they stay mostly injury-free they'll stay in the Prem. And if Borja and/or Llorente do OK. Talent wise there are worse sides than them. But they seriously need a quality player or two. Having Ayew still there now would make a world of difference and I just wonder if it was worth it to sell him for £20m. They did ever so well to attract someone of his caliber in the first place.

Bob Bradley
Alright then
No idea why they got rid of Guidolin. Far too early for that. As others have said, strength of schedule and the fact that management hasn't really helped Guidolin is why they are where they are, not because of Guidolin himself. Even so, they're 17th, it's not like they're last or anything.
Should have given him 5 or 6 more weeks, if they were in the same place then fair enough.

Well, he cannot really deliver. They're on the 19th spot in Championships rankings.

Di Matteo had some £50m to spend in the summer and he blew it on some absolute trash:

He's sacked but he's done the damage already.

Really hoping Bob Bradley does well at Swansea. It's just a shame they're really aren't any other American coaches after him that could probably make a leap like this to the EPL and have a chance at succeeding. Maybe Bruce Arena, but not sure who else.

Robsenal robbing 4 points this season already
Should have 12 points and be just ahead of crystal palace atm
Funny coming from a Spurs fans where
1. Mane's goal was wrongly disallowed for offside.
2. The referee called for a talk rather a penalty when Vertonghen fouled during a corner which was absolutely hilarious.
You got really lucky to get a draw against us. So calm down Reffenham Spurs.

Note to self: people take the sentence "robsenal robbing 4 points this season already " seriously
Also it wasn't. It was a close decision I'll give you that. Pool fans will see it as onside, Spurs do as off. Personally, I don't know which and I'm not going to say either way. You're welcome to believe what you want though.

Tbf I don't see how Liverpool have been lucky this season. If anything they've been unlucky.
United haven't been unlucky though; they're just shit.

Actually I watched the United game against Stoke. They were really good. Should have scored like 6-7 goals They created so many chances.

No one bar Arsenal has had more than expected luck.
Their performances are being masked, Either you win the title ie Fergie using this "luck" or you get found out later when its already too late and the transfer windows are closed.

Offensive player should always get the benefit of the doubt when two players are in line and there's nothing separating them. It was a bs call.

United are making steps in the right direction, I can't believe Mourinho actually changed was counting on him being a pos and ruining United further.

Like I said in the Arsenal section, wouldn't give two shit if we win the title by poisoning our enemies. Hope we get more offside goals and handball goals.

Dunno if i was just bored or not but i thought they were meh tbh.
Should have won though obviously, both Pogba and Ibra should have scored and that save from Lingaard was ridiculous.
