Problem is it's not clear who can do his job. We have noone like that, though I'd argue Martinez should maybe be tried in midfield again, at least when Vidal's missing.

We need to extend Robben ASAP. What the hell are we waiting for.

One thing also: really, really good game by Müller too. Beautiful performance, wonderful to see him back at the top of his game.

Lewandowski continues to frustrate the hell out of me.

Hummels is a liability.

If we go for a 3 Man midfield in big matches, I would rather see -

Ribery/Costa Muller Robben

This is because Robben & Muller has just electric chemistry & a good understanding & link-up well.

I think we should just got a 4-4-2 type formation -

Ribery/Costa Muller Lewa Robben
Thiago Vidal

This will be difficult to pull off against teams like Barca or Madrid though where we need a 3 Man midfield!

I fully agree. I like the Thiago-Vidal combination and I think they could pull it off, considering those attackers are disciplined enough to give support to them, although I also agree with your caveat. Why not add Martinez in tough games?
Martinez-Vidal-Thiago?

At first I thought it's media bullshit but Robben and Lewa sure look like they cannot stand each other at all. That's not good and I know who I prefer, so agreed again.

Maybe. I don't know the Martinez Vidal looks incredibly defensive with Thiago - 3 Players playing deep - Can Vidal link up play as he is needed - Can Thiago bring creativity upfront. Does Martinez have the handling speed n creativity required for modern CM.

It is impossible for me to say unless we see this being tried out. Maybe it will work, who knows!

I think they are okay, I mean they link decent, both of them can play nice 1 touch.

Lewa certainly prefers someone who is more of a Costa Ribery type & will be an assist king who will create chances for him plus will be happy to let him be the star. I think it is good to have 1 Costa or Ribery type winger & 1 Robben type winger who will also score a lot apart from creating, be a bit selfish sometimes & be SHINE & make the difference in big games.

I am okay with either of Muller or Lewa starting, Muller just has better chemistry & Lewa hasn't fired for Bayern in big matches!

It's not their B team exactly (8 of their 13 players on the pitch are starters). Neuer is injured I believe or at least picked up a knock before the game. Lahm, Thiago, Lewa, Ribery, Costa, Boateng are all starters they bought on Hummels and Muller.

Anyways it's about time for new sack watch thread, 2 wins in 7 games for Carlo.
