1. Collective failure of us citizens to pursue sports as a career for mentioned reasons in the thread on previous pages.
2. Failure of the Government/Country to make sports a career viable for a living (bar cricket).

@Unique 0 medals bro, Keep finishing 4th place, Not sure if India or Arsenal.

We are monsters, Just not in the most publicized fields like Sports. (Valid for a lot of countries)

I'm happy that murray won gold but I really don't like that man. he is far too far up his own ass and is really disrespectful when people talk to him. he looks around the room when he talks to people like he cant be ass to talk to them. someone should grab hold of him and say look me in the eye when I'm talking to you.

De Grasse gonna be Olympic champion in 2020

kid only started sprinting competitively back in 2012 when he was discovered racing a friend at a high school track meet.

got a scholarship to USC after that and became NCAA champion, improved his time every race at the olympics running personal best in the semi's and finals. Bolt had taken him under his wing during these olympics Proud

Got the bronze first medal for Canada in Mens 100m since Atlanta 1996 Donovan Baileys record run.

Canada gonna be taking back the Gold in 2020 Proud

Starting 4 minutes before the end, there were two penalty corners that resulted in goals and then there was a last ditch attack seconds from the end when Germany had dropped the goalie for another field player and ran at the New Zealand goal and scored with 1.8 seconds to spare...

The German coach later said he didn't even see that goal as he was busy preparing the guys who were supposed to take the penalties in the upcoming shoot-out - when he realised Germany won, he looked as if he was in utter disbelief and shock (and later apologized to his players as he didn't think they could still win this after the equalizer 43 seconds from the final whistle). XD

Wayde is the current world 400m champion as well I believe. Only 24 years old as well. Maybe his qualification times were just there and thereabouts this year and he saved some fire for the Olympics finals Proud

What makes you think Bolt is not coming back in 2020 Laughing

He's gonna be 33. Justin Gatlin is 34 and won silver yesterday Laughing

Bolt is still going to be running 9.7-9.9 in 2020.

I expect him to want to come back to get his 10-12th gold medals after he reaches 9 this Olympics.

10 golds would put him only behind Phelps as the most decorated winner in Olympic history.

Until only 2024 though. Ledecky is gonna win 15-20 golds in her career. 19 years old and already has 5 Olympic golds Laughing

Simone Biles is 16 years old and has 3 golds as well with more events to go. She's gonna get 10+ in her career as well.

Jan Jørgensen played badly but the Indian was good also. He won't finish 4th. He's out next round. He's facing the GOAT player in Lin Dan. No way he's winning.
