i am thinking about the disgraceful decision to not award Sneijder who was the best player in the world in 2009, and instead gave it to messi who didn't do shit compared to Sneijder.

It would be better if it was only for European players, so players like Sneijder, Rooney, Cristiano. RObben etc. have a chance to win.

Imagine a situation where the Balloon Door is first awarded to an European player and then the Best Player in Europe award is given to someone else. That's basically FIFA and UEFA both saying "lol these awardz, they totally random".

And if both go to the same player, that's completely needless as well.
