I've been listening to this Juventus podcast, which sounds like me talking to myself in the mirror but anyways, one of the speakers said something along these lines, there's teams that compete and there's teams that win trophies. Juventus just bridged the gap in Europe.

A #9 was a main way to improve this team, a main way to really improve our starting 11- with or without Pogba, it's been a problematic position since Trezeguet declined- from this time we've signed more mediocre players in Matri, Borriello, Bendtner, Anelka, Toni, Llorente... other forwards include Quagliarella, Vucinic, fast forward to the prince that was promised in Morata and a true world class player like Tevez and now within just a couple seasons of that we end up with Higuain and Dybala, the two leading scorers in Italy last season, Mandzukic as another attacking option. The difference between this set of names and the previous set is quite clear.

I mean its blatant overpay but I'm sure every Juventus fan will tell you that being stingy with transfer fees over the years is what brought us many of those average forwards. Now we spent 40 on Dybala or so and 90 on Higuain and I have no complaints HANS.

When ya'll witness saint Buffon raise the Champions League trophy in eternal glory at the end of this season, my words will resonate and we will all cry together.
