I believe it is not matter of light, but simply Di Marzio is not that of time ago . He's declined.  I was going to write it some days ago ( then I forgot ) , now ( at least for Italian rumours ) Pedullà counts as Di Marzio. Five years ago you noticed definitely the gap , not now. The one is improved, the other is really worsened tbh.

He's always been what he is now, a rumor-mongering journalist who plays the odds. That's how basically every paper, rag, tabloid, periodical, website, journalist, Internet Bullshit Artist, and transfer-centric pundit does. They spit out as many stories as they can, either under their own names or via various "sources," and hope that some will stick while know the vast majority will be empty.

Considering that pretty much everything he said was reliable info and was proven to be so when it pretty much all happened that's a little more than " hoping it sticks " and nowhere near the vast majority where empty.

Massive hindsight on your behalf tbh, no idea what he's like now as i couldn't care less to follow it but i know the summer where he got most of his notoriety he was very reliable that isn't something which can be debated.

I never mentioned guessing though.  I said they play the odds.  The more stories they put out, the more likely there is to be a big few that end up right that will be remembered while the wrong ones are forgotten, as is happening here.  They may very well have SOME sort of indication from SOME source behind their stories, so they're not guessing, but said info rarely leads to regularly accurate stories.  25% may seem great when everyone else manages 10% or less, but it's still shit.

i still consider him to be highly reliable, and there is definitely a difference between someone like Di Marzio and Tancredi for example. Thing is, Di Marzio still reports with high accuracy about deals for smaller clubs that no one cares about.

It was a lot higher than 25% but ok.... Besides even if it wasn't considering how often a transfer develops that's still very high.

What's true one day might not be true the next with how clubs operate.

I have no reason to assume it's even 25%, to be honest, it was simply a number I pulled out as an example. If you'd like, you are welcome to aggregate all of his stories and show me just how much more reliable he is than the overall average. I'd be very interested to see such figures.

I'd not say this, it's enough to know who is his father for the Italian football and you realize the reason because he has so many contacts.
