Re: Alvaro Morata returns to Juventus
This is all about negotiating... you drive the price up by leaking some crazy number so the people bidding feel that they need to up their price. You don't actually expect to get it lol.

Re: Alvaro Morata returns to Juventus
Well obviously if he is to stay it means WE payed the 30 million come-back clause, at the very least.
My point is that 65M is waaay too much, it means they don't care much about Morata and they intend to sell him for a profit. For example if MU wants him for 45M then its great, but would you sell Morata for 15M ? Nah
Luckily enough they already have a prospective buyer which is Juve. The rest is nothing but negociations... That's why believe its either Juventus or Real, but probably Juve.

Sounds about as convincing a strategy as Ed Woodward's claim that United's Fabregas approach had to occur via public announcements due to Barca's structurally built-in need to discuss transfers among members.

Re: Alvaro Morata returns to Juventus
Madrid want to keep him apparently
Di Marzio wrote:Alvaro Morata's future has been one of the hot topics in the summer transfer window. The Juventus striker has been linked to numerous teams, but there is now a new scenario- Real Madrid excercising the buy back clause and keeping Morata. This would avoid the need for the Galacticos to sign another expensive striker and Morata's return wouldn't upset Cristiano Ronaldo. It now appears possible that Real Madrid will keep Morata rather than selling him to a third team- in the meantime Alvaro continues to score for Spain...

More interestingly... Real Madrid are asking 75 million for Morata AND they have several offers (none of which has reached 75 mil obviously).

Welcome back home Morata.
Thank you Juventus. I hope we do lot more business like this one with them.. we should send Odegaard and Asensio to Juve with a buy back.

Would be more pissed if he was useful for us against more stubborn teams, but he was clutch as hell in open games.

Keeping Morata is probably the smartest decision we can make at the moment. We do not have a back up CF, and 30 millions for someone of the age and experience of Morata, is a steal.

Thank you too. You gifted us a player for 2 years, that got you out of the CL, won a Coppa for us and was a great substitute for Mandzu

He's not going anywhere, I knew that the moment Real Madrid demanded more than £30m for him. He'll stay with Real Madrid this year and will be sent to Valencia/Sevilla next.

Re: Alvaro Morata returns to Juventus
I can seriously not believe Real would, after having gotten rid of him, pay even more mone to get him back and then not sell him while they can.
So they now paid 10m on top for a player that was theirs anyway and which they rightly didn't want?
He is shit, he's got absolutely nothing. Nothing.
Better than Julian Green, of course, but then noone would even get the idea of paying more than 3m for Julian Green.

He couldn't even beat Mandzukic out of a starting position, so Allegri had to play him as a winger.
Great player to have coming off the bench in the 2nd half for energy and outshines Pogba in every big game, but he is definitely not starting material as a CF on a big club...

Re: Alvaro Morata returns to Juventus
Spanish Balotelli without the crap attitude.
Same kind of talented tall forward that looks like they should play CF but don't really know how to. Good on the ball but absolutely no off the ball movement, good linkup play but no strength to harass a defense. A SS in the body of a CF. No tenacity and no confidence either.

Re: Alvaro Morata returns to Juventus
Unbelievable. Juve fans calling him mediocre when they were hailing him as a world beating big game sensation a few short months ago. LMAO.
Glad they've come around though, he is crap. Not even a top 15 striker in any league.

I've always been critical of him. I was against paying Madrid any amount of money to keep him. Called him Spanish Balotelli in the Juve section as well during the season. I absolutely hated how he sulked around without scoring for 3 months while taking minutes from Zaza who was performing well. The talent is there but he needs a lot of work to be a big player or a starter for Juve. Specially when he couldn't work with Dybala cause he couldn't operate as a CF.

Re: Alvaro Morata returns to Juventus
Well it's well known that Morata is not starting material at a big club but no need to bash him. I've seen some Juve fans bashing him just like they said vidal was '' past it anyways '' when he left. Next it will be Pogba not being '' that great ''.

You do realize you clowns could have just KEPT him as backup
But you sent him away because he was not good enough even for backup
Now you paid what, 10 million extra to get him back?
As backup
Absolutely bizarre

No way in hell he is going to accept a backup role. Out by winter or next summer for 30-40m or loan with an option to buy

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure he handed in the transfer request himself? And I still don't see him being talented enough to be an undisputed starter. Luckily, he's relatively young, so that might change.. but he's probably going to demand to be a starter at some point in time, and that's going to cause some issues unless I'm wrong about his potential. He had two great seasons with Juventus, and he's now officially part of the Spanish NT, so I'm guessing Flo brought him back to compensate for his oddly lackluster activity in what might be Real Madrid's last transfer business in a relatively long period of time.

How did he have two great seasons for Juve when he was on the bench a lot and went without scoring for months?
