dont take into account that it was a pre season game because this is what nasri always does all the time in the no. 10 role when we have seen him play there, great dribbler but that just about all he has got.

I agree with you man.. For some time now, I have been wondering if I am the only one who thinks he's too greedy to play in that role.. Guess I'm not the only one.. During the match, when he didn't make that pass and tried to dribble into the goal, I was soo pissed!

Okay so dug up some statistics:

Nasri has scored 12 goals and 27 assists in OM in 166 appearances in 4 years.. 15 of those assits came in 07-08.

After he came to London => 124 appearances, 27 goals, 16 assists in 3 seasons. G/A for each season :

08-09 : 7/5
09-10 : 5/6
10-11 : 15/5

While it is good that his goalscoring form has improved, for a winger, he should be knocking up 10-15 assists a season. In case of a #10, that should be even more.

Fabregas G/A : 57/100 in 303 appearances.

04/05 - 46 appearances, 3 goals, 4 assists
05/06 - 50/5/7
06-07 - 54/4/16
07-08 - 45/13/22
08-09 - 33/3/15
09-10 - 36/19/19
10-11 - 35/9/17


2 things : First, it highlights how important he has been to us as he has developed.. Secondly, it shows how much we have missed him in the last 3 seasons when he has played only 30 odd games..

pretty much why i didnt think it was a bad idea to get 25 million for him while he's in the last year of his contract.....



wonderful talent but we can certainly do without him, especially in the no. 10 role
