So...Who's exactly going to stop Barcelona from winning it again ?
- Bayern ? no defense
- PSG ? too many holes to cause them any serious trouble like we saw last year . ( Cavani , David lulz , Motta's declining physical abilities , VDW , Trapp.... )
- City ? even when they were in better form than this season they got whipped by lesser versions of Barça.
- Chelsea ? They can barely stay afloat in the PL and will probably bow out before meeting them .
Juventus ? Atletico ?

I honestly don't see who would beat them but it wouldn't surprise me if someone beat them. And if a team does, I honestly feel it would be because Barcelona would have been incredibly wasteful akin to their matches against Chelsea in 2012.

Nobody. There was only Bayern, and agent Pep made short work of them, he's now en route to ensure that City never becomes a threat to Barca as well. They've planned this well.

This is so disrespectful to Arsenal. It's like saying somebody has the DNA to play for us.

I think someone will stop them, not because anyone looks better right now, but because a lot of things have to go in your favor to win the cl. Its hard to see it twice in a row.
Maybe Juve, Atletico, or Bayern can

While we can all agree on paper Barça is the best team the CL is often decided by 1 goal margins and that means luck has a lot to do with it.

Exactly, that's why I think teams that can hold up to them can play for an upset this year.

Only an Italian team can stop barcelona tbh. Or a team lead by Mourinho.
Small chance though.

Last year it was noone can stop Bayern. This is CL, where no one repeats!!! Although Barca are the heavily favourite, if history has any say, they will blow it. It bears some humility to be weary of such assumptions of unbeatable.

People said no one could stop a fit bayern. The bayern barcelona faced was severely depleted. Who knows what result it would have been if Bayern were at full strength.

I personally don't think they would have beaten a full strength Bayern and I stand by that, the world is never going to know as they are severely depleted again

Re: So...Who's exactly going to stop Barcelona from winning it again ?
This barcelona side is far from unstoppable.
Just nobody with the right tactics, fitness (injury plagued), or consistency.
Bayern? What a joke. Guardiola the hipster will job to Luis Enrique who is his better. Lewandowski can't save his team from the hipster's tendencies.
Europe awaits Carlo's return and Zidane proving himself or crashing and burning.
Mourinho? That clown is far too defensive to grab one goal let alone protecting a lead.
PSG has best chance currently if their midfield actually proves a point.
Verratti is overrated.

Weren't you the one saying they hadn't improved since 13-14 and couldn't win the CL? I distinctly remember arguing with you about it

They started to regress the moment Madrid beat them. Until then they had been the best team ever

Re: So...Who's exactly going to stop Barcelona from winning it again ?
No one. Should have easily won it back to back during the Pep days but Pep always started tinkering with the squad for no reason after every CL win (buying and not managing to integrate Ibrahimovic after 2009 and buying Cesc and Alexis + 3-4-3 experiments after 2011).
This time we've got a coach who doesn't overcomplicate things for the sake of it, who stays with the proven winning formula, so back-to-back Champions League is in the pocket.

Re: So...Who's exactly going to stop Barcelona from winning it again ?
No one!! Honestly this is theirs to lose!! With that midfield and attack they are like a Football Manger editor cheat!!! That defense is shaky everyone knows that but their possession and execution upfront cancels the defense out. I dont see anyone even close to them but this is the wonderful sport we love and anything can happen!!

Re: So...Who's exactly going to stop Barcelona from winning it again ?
We are favourites, but this is a knockout tournament, which basically means it randomizes the result a lot.
That's why we had champions like Liverpool's Rafa or Di Matteo's Chelsea, which clearly weren't the better team in Europe and would have never won a league competition.
So the answer is that everyone can stop us from winning it with a bit of luck, a great performance, and some complacency from Barça. Even Arsenal.
