'couldn't be filmed' lol?
I mean I admit I'm from the last millenium, but as I understand a periscope session is practically a live video press conference for twitter followers lol.
Like a press conference, only instead of questions like "xyz from L'Equipe, how do you think the decided league race will influence your form?", you get questions like 'NiqueTaMERE99 writes -Verratti Man or WOMAN?!" lmao.
Unfathomably stupid by the guy. Career ending stupidity.

Re: Aurier done f up
If they just 'suspend' him for 4 or 5 games, then let him come back and act like nothing happened, they'll certainly be a laughing stock. Doesn't matter whether he apologizes or not, this level of unprofessionalism should result for him getting his contract terminated.

Re: Aurier done f up
its very difficult to just terminate a contract. he can sue them for that, even if they have a clause saying this act could lead to termination; a good lawyer can have both parties fighting over that in court whilst still having them pay him his wages, and him not playing. also i'm sure they've invested some money in him; terminating it could see some rival snap him up, and once again, if they choose to prevent that, a good lawyer could have all parties fighting it in court. they want return on their money so probably won't do that...its the reason why chelsea sued mutu when he had that cocaine ban; it was like burning the cash they spent to sign him....
a suspension, a fine, and considering selling him are their only options. the problem with this now is; who's going to risk signing such a player? they'll just have to stomach it, and hope someone on the management staff like the assistant coach can get him to feel bad enough to play hard to win back the faith of his manager and teammates he disrespected....which will be tough, as many will never show him any form of respect again, no matter how hard he plays. and you can't blame them for that

Re: Aurier done f up
Can someone provide a context as to why he even said that? Has he been on the bench all season? Was he just joking?
I really don't understand why any professional would say what he said.

Re: Aurier done f up
Many teams will take Aurier if PSG really wanna sell him. I don't watch all their games but he seems like a very good right back. Top right backs are in short supply. Of the top of my mind, Juve, Bayern, Roma, City are among the top teams could use him. Players get second chances all the time.

Re: Aurier done f up
Tito, you make a good point. But as you so eloquently put it, they could always sell him. I'm sure many clubs would jump at that chance. So maybe you're right, maybe it's difficult to terminate his contract now for various reasons. But if they have any shred of respect for themselves, he shouldn't last beyond the summer window.

Re: Aurier done f up
I'm not sure if it's actually in their interests to get rid.
Since he seems to have been performing greatly, it's surely in their interest to get him back playing after obligatory apologies/fee/punishment etc.
Don't know how Blanc is as a person, but it can't be a huge surprise for a manager that some of his players think, and speak privately, in such terms of him or of teammates.
The hilarious thing of course is the absolute unawareness, or the lack of giving a *bleep*, with which Aurier gives these private opinions in a public setting.
It's awkward, and some inner-team things are probably unrepairable after this, question is just how much of an example PSG want to make of this.
Of course, when someone does something just as really *bleep* stupid as this, he'll very likely will do something similarly stupid again
But they can still kick him out then; as Rincon says, players get second chances all the time, and PSG might prefer Aurier gets his second chance with them and not another club.

Re: Aurier done f up
they could sell, and teams could sign him no problem. but i don't see anyone breaking bank for such a move. they'll rather sell than terminate his contract that's for sure, i doubt the hate for him supersedes the money. i don't know how much they signed him for, so it also depends on that. if u signed him for let's say 3 million and a club offers 8, whilst that's cheap in football terms these days, it may be enough to get them to sell. but i'm not sure i see a top top team taking such risk, unless the transfer fee is really small.
if psg want to do it to him, they'll find a way to loan him out to a club where he won't be a threat, or sound out one of these chinese clubs that's willing to spend money, problem is, he'll probably be unwilling to go. regardless of what the decision is, the fine (i think they fined him right?) and suspension are the only thing they can do right now....very foolish of him

Re: Aurier done f up
It just depends how the other options perform... VdW and Marquinhos were just gifted an opportunity. If they take it, Aurier will be moved in the summer. If they don't, they'll try to repair the situation the beat they can or look for options on the transfer market.

Re: Aurier done f up
As Hans says.... this is so absurdly dumb by Aurier that you're worried about future stupidity. It's unbelievable. Aurier and his friend marketed a live online interview (open to the public) with Aurier and then Aurier says this stuff. Why would you???!!!
The issue that PSG has is that, according to reports, most of the leaders in the PSG locker room don't want to see Aurier's face anymore. So despite his quality, you have a team to manage. Before you allow him back, you need the team to buy into it enough so that he can come back. Otherwise, you fracture the locker room and that's not something you can afford.
Blanc call the whole thing "pitiful" today. He explained how PSG management didn't want anything to do with Aurier and he had to go and fight for the transfer. Blanc feels the most betrayed and he's the one who has to do the sell job to the squad on Aurier... it's difficult.

Re: Aurier done f up
so apparently Aurier's agent had a 'chaperone' installed to watch Aurier at home, but that person for once went on holiday last weekend

Shows you he's a special level of stupid so that he needs a full time "chaperon" to keep him out of trouble

I don't see how he can play again for PSG as long as Blanc is coach. He literally said his boss sucks dick. How can he ever play under him again?

He had no idea that he was being filmed. I even doubt that he knows what Periscope was. Gotta be careful who you hang out with and watch your mouth. His ( dumb ) friend is the one truly at fault, what kind of friend is that ?

Right
There's even the one moment where he directs his full attention to the camera and says something right into it, addressing the guy who wrote the question
I think it's when he jokes with the guy asking him to tell him Cavani's address, to go there and get back the money he lost betting due to a Cavani miss
