So, the best dribler in the world doesn't take on players consistently?
When he wants to be sure, but how often does he actually do that? he's a lot more selective with his runs nowadays which is what i meant.
He more often will put Neymar or Suarez in or pass around the opposition than dribble right through the heart of them now. The goals like where ripped Boateng a new asshole are not as frequent as they used to be.

Read the initial post lol.
I said he doesn't need to be the Messi of old to continue to be the best and win individual awards so it doesn't matter.

While I completely agree with this description, that's not the same as saying "he doesn't take on players consistently" because he consistently takes on players every match, and in every extended highlights.
He just relies much more in his fantastic passing and teammates.

He hasn't been the Messi of 'old' for a while tbh. As long as he keeps buffing his stats and he wins trophies, he will win at least another 2-3. Neymar has to leave or injure him in training to win.

This Messi is better than the Messi of "old".

Re: Was that Messi's last Ballon D'or?
No i'm saying stats mean *bleep* all.
Beating one person on the half way line constitutes a dribble and not at all comparable to what i was on about.
I used the Fabregas example as him winning more tackles than Matic as an example as how stats mean *bleep* all as Matic is clearly a better tackler to anyone with a set of eyes.

Re: Was that Messi's last Ballon D'or?
Beating a player advances the game as much anywhere on the pitch, a player. Rest depends on team tactics, edge, mates and so on what becomes from it.
Two of the best dribbles he had last season.
You know how lunatic you sound, when you don't actually watch Barca games, don't believe factual statistics, and argue against most logical and truthful person in internet, not only that but an actual Messi fan who watches him play?

Right...this thread is useless unless it's meant to be a bait aimed at Harmonicafutbol wrote:BarcaLearning wrote:Seems a bit strange ppl ruling out CRonaldo altogether? Hes just 30 I think
It's stranger that people rule out Messi. He's 28.

Re: Was that Messi's last Ballon D'or?
If anything, the thread should of asked if "This was the last time we see Cristiano Ronaldo on the podium for the final 3?"
His numbers are steadily declining and will be 31 this year, so you can't imagine him to improve from here on out. People were already calling for him to not be on the podium this year, calling for either Lewa or Suarez to be ahead of him.

Agree.
Easy tbh.
really not all that hard
one injury in april/may and if barca win trophies the credit will go to someone else, like neymar or suarez whomever shines in those games
