Maybe , you should precise '' as a manager '' .

Looks like him going back to Madrid is actually something legit.

Re: Mourinho's next gig
Unless we get knocked out of the Cl and fall way behind in the league, I don't see Rafa getting the sack.
As for Mourinho, Flo just said a few days ago that Mou won't be coming back to Madrid anytime soon.
Rafa will get his full year with us. More if he wins a major trophy.

Desperate times calls for desperate measures. Who else is available? It's either a top class manager in Mou( which he is, can't be denied) or a novice in Giggs.

Really? There is no other manager in world football other than Mourinho or ... Giggs?

Re: Mourinho's next gig
United fans have no idea what struggling is. The squad is terrible and LVG has been laboured with problems. Pathetic, the fact they are now pining for Mourinho tells me what I need to know. Prawn sandwich eating morons.
I already showed this squad is worse than SAFs squad in the 3 seasons we didnt win anything. Hopefully the people that run the club aren't as daft. If Barcelona where this trigger happy with Cruijff, where would they have been today? They don't get the club needs restructuring and they want Mourinho.
Spoilt *bleep* pricks.

The expendables, Rooney, Mata and Fellani,
yea he recruited them, not Moyes... the only bad signig we made was perhaps Depay but he's got room to grow, first season and all, not to worried about him.
The only duds he got where Rojo perhaps and Romero. The rest are good. The balance of the squad is terrible.

Re: Mourinho's next gig
let's not make excuses for him regarding the state of the squad, he's had 18 months to shape it
he's the reason that when we're chasing games we play the likes of fellaini at striker..our options off of the bench are grim and completely of his own making
chicharito, RVP, Nani, Januzaj
all let go with no cover
borthwick jackson, varela, periera mcnair romero
that's our bench 90% of the time
you would be hard pressed to find less quality in the entire league
Mata, Rooney & Fellaini, as crap as they've been have been among our top players (Mata was our best player at the start of the season, been shite since)

Re: Mourinho's next gig
This is exactly what I don't understand though. It's very clear that United need to restructure the squad, it's very clear that this United team simply isn't good enough, not on paper nor in games.
And I do think that LVG has to take a fair amount of blame, with the money he's spent and the squad that he's got over 18 months. That's a fair point, and it's not a bad one. However, it is part of a process, and that's understandable.
But it makes absolutely no sense to me, when you've got a squad like this, to want to fire LVG and hire Mourinho of all people to bail you out. Mourinho might be able to get a Man U squad to play above themselves (for a while, until the inevitable collapse), but what does that do for Man U in the long term? Absolutely nothing.
You need to rebuild a squad and the answer is...Mourinho? Looking at Mou's history and all you can really see is that he achieves good things and then leaves with a squad in shambles. He fails to cultivate the youth, he brings in older, more experienced players that will turn to shite in a couple years, he has no long term plan and is likely to leave after two or three (likely three when everything falls apart) years.
I don't think anyone is foolish enough to say that LVG is doing a very good job right now. I think he's a clown. But I do believe that he's far better for Man United right now than Mourinho and firing him just because the going got tough for a bit would be an overreaction that would only lead to further irritation and compounding of the already startling flaws of this Manchester United squad.

Re: Mourinho's next gig
I can't understand why people think that Mourinho is still a top coach. It is clear as day that he can't last more than 2 seasons and in his first two seasons he reaks havic on the entire organization such that the aftermath needs a repair surgeon to steer the ship back on course. Would any big club be willing to take this risk? I think not.
Meanwhile, Mourinho and agent are out shopping saying he is the solution to any big club's problems. I've heard some say they think he will learn from his mistakes, but I severely doubt that. It may take a while but I see a major blow to his enormous ego when he has to accept a second tier club, without money to buy who he wants and a huge reduction in his salary.

LVG avatar. Continues to defend LVG. yeah.....
The squad is terrible because of him, the buck stops with the manager.
Ask yourself this, how come only DDG and Smalling have looked good up until this point under him? Everyone has gone to shit. He has stifled every attacking intent from them.
- 7 shots on target in our last 4 home matches
- 4 straight defeats for the first time since 1961
- 2nd lowest shots on target in the league
- out of the CL group stages and out of the CC
-only 4 wins in our last 16 matches
- continues to play players out position and persisted with sticking with Rooney (who has clearly showed signs of decline)
- Decided to gut our squad
- Had 18 months to reshape the squad in his manner. THIS IS HIS SQUAD
- spent 250m+ doing so
Seems familiar, eh?
And you label United fans 'spoilt pricks' for wanting change? For clearly seeing a manager struggling and unable to change things, for being bored to tears with the football every week, seeing no progression, seeing baffling decisions, seeing no passion from him in the dug out..
...yh
I'm starting to think you're on the wum now.

The only reason I have him as my avatar is because I lost a sig bet ffs!
Look, the night is darkest before the dawn. I believe in him, if that makes me a wum, so be it.
Also lol at people quoting 250m. The money for me is irrelevant. Have you ever thought that the players he wanted might not be available? It's not as easy just going into the transfer market and picking players out.

It looks like United have turned a corner in their last 3 games, would they still get rid of LVG if they make the CL?
